Gee, you would think that an ice box is an ice box and a refrigerator is a refrigerator, but this GE one is so good that if I could actually love an appliance, it would be this one. The one inconvenience is the door shelves, they are rather tight for bottles, so I bought "mini" size mustard and ketchup containers.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Really-really loud

We got this a couple weeks ago and at first everything seemed okay. Now it almost never stops running and it's so loud it is noisy throughout our entire house. It's definitely louder than a bathroom fan or the neighbor's lawn mower. We all sigh with relief when it (rarely) shuts off.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Overall great- Ice Maker needs refining

This is a great model. There aren't many models out there anymore that are 32" -
33" and that have great features that come with it. I'm seeing many refrigerators now at a standard 35" or more, which doesn't work for many apartments (in California). The temps are perfect and I have more space in my fridge because of the compartments. Overall aesthetic has elevated the look in my kitchen!
I have feedback on two things:
Fridge: Needs shelving room to fit taller beverages. You can't move the shelves without the top or bottom not having room for anything else. The left side compartments are skinny - I can only house small bottles of hot sauce there.
Ice Dispenser: The "crushed" feature can be messy. I think the solve for that would be to make a longer spout so that the ice doesnt fly out everywhere. It's also a little slow to crush ice.
