Quality piece of equipment. Only downside is the door is difficult to close. Thankfully there is the door open alarm.

Plus: it was available when we needed it. Has lots of room in main space; freezer space OK; makes lots of ice.
Minus: noisy. Stainless steel smudges more than our last SS fridge.

While the stainless steel does show smudges, it can be easily cleaned using mild soap (dish soap) and water, then rinsed with clear water and dried with a soft cloth. Hard for Seniors

Freezer is hard to reach into back and bottom. Bending over and reaching down difficult for me as a senior. Upper shelves in the frig are almost out of reach for my wife who is short

Sagging shelves and Inferior Quality

After returning a brand new LG Refrigerator because of cooling issues, we bought the GE, based on customer reviews. The new shelves sag, with very little weight on them. The whole unit just feels cheaply made. The ice maker is quite noisy when it is functioning.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nice looking refrigerator. Good value for the price. I would have rated it 5 stars but I wish the shelves we split down the middle and there were more adjustable settings… the shelf configurations are limited. There is also not a dairy bin and no option to purchase one.
