Love the space in both the fridge and freezer

The space in the fridge and freezer has been an amazing experience. We are a family of four and the double door refrigerator/freezer never had enough room for all our groceries. The only thing that I wish GE would consider is lowering the noise level for the ice maker. It was quiet the first month but now it wakes us up in the middle of the night. Other than the loud sound we are happy with all the features it offers

I love the refrigerator, the only complaint is...when the ice bin is moved, it may be out of alignment and the freezer won't close. Initially I was frustrated that it would not close and on further inspection, I noticed the bin was out of alignment and I adjusted it. Maybe if GE put alignment guides on the shelf the bin will not move and prevent this problem.

Very frustrating

We haven't had this refrigerator that long. The ice maker leaks water and freezes on the bottom of the freezer. Also, every 2 weeks I need to unplug , remove all items and defrost because it makes a very loud sound like the motor is dying. I am sick of this. We paid a lot of money for this.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We would like to help you with the sound level and ice maker in your refrigerator. We recommend ensuring the unit is properly leveled on an even floor. If needed, you can adjust the leveling legs by turning them clockwise to raise the refrigerator and counterclockwise to lower it.

good but noise & closing problems

Love the volume and adjustable shelves & bins, but it is noisy at times and the door will not close all the way without a hard push (even after dealer increased the backward tilt). It is likely that the door bottom is scraping on frig compartment lip -- will have dealer try to fix it.

4 years ago we bought a new house and bought all new GE appliances. This fridge, died today. So far, we have repaired the washer, replaced the dryer, replaced the dishwasher, and now this refrigerator. GE appliances are not reliable.

We’re so glad you're liking how quick your unit produces ice and how quiet it has been so far. This unit has some really great design features. We especially like the Sliding Snack Drawer, which adds more space exactly where you need it by moving across the entire width of the fresh-food section.
