Works well, but could be better.

Could be built a little better with some nicer options. Very basic. The shelves are one piece and sag quite a bit when only partially loaded. The ‘cheese’ drawer is very small. Fridge functions very well so far, keeps everything cold and good at making ice.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We are overall pleased with this refrigerator however there are a couple areas that could use improvement. 1. Since the bin for the ice maker is so large it would be nice to have the on/off switch in a location where it would be easier to reach. 2. The slides for the freezer could be better quality, it feels like it is cheaply made when you slide it in and out.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I love my new GE refrigerator!! It’s roomy, easy to see what’s in each shelf, and has a large freezer with organizers without sacrificing the ice maker. The stainless steel door is very easy to clean and looks great!! We opted to purchase a refrigerator without ice and water in the door. Not sorry!!

After 5 months the freezer is accumulating frost, but a lot! The refrigerator door does not close correctly having to force shut all the time.

We want to help out with the door not closing properly and the frost build-up. We suggest getting one of our approved technicians out to check this. You can do so by calling 1-800-432-2737 or by visiting this link here (https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm).

Poorly designed

4 days old! I have the single door top, bottom freezer, as it was the only one of 2 choices with an ice maker. Very roomy, love the lighting...3 stars because the meat drawer is small for a large fridge to be used for a family, and slides on a shelf that is not supported well. The top 2 top shelves are bowing down when anything is set on the middle and should of had a thicker front support. I have placed a piece of Styrofoam from the install to hold up the shelves and will have to cut 3 pieces for support in order for this Fridge to be used. Must call GE now, and wish I had it picked up. Ice is still trying to fill with regular use. Fridge doors are not balanced for a full door, only balanced for empty and must be shut manually for the most part. Which means I must now try to find how to adjust them. Have to set milk, and gallon pitchers on the door, as shelves would not hold a gallon of milk at all.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We hate to hear that you’ve been less than impressed with the shelves in your new refrigerator, and that you’ve had trouble with the doors not shutting on their own. We are constantly working to revamp and revise our products, and we’ll be sure to forward your feedback on the shelves to our design team so we can continue to improve. Your refrigerator doors will not shut on their own if the fridge is not leveled properly. We suggest checking out the article below for tips on leveling yours.

If you continue to have issues, we recommend having your unit diagnosed by one of our qualified technicians. You can schedule service by calling 1-800-432-2737 or by going to https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm.
