I heard that GE builds the most lasting appliances, which is what persuaded me to invest in this fridge. So far (less than a month), I have had no issues. I read that some were concerned about fingerprints on the stainless steel. But using the same cleaner that I had with my last fridge, it hasn't been a problem. I also read that the fridge/ice maker can be loud, but mine hasn't been.
The product does it's job of keeping things cold. The feature of setting the temperature goes in only one direction, so you need to cycle through to lower the temperature. I don't have the ice maker part, and there are noise coming from it like 'filling up' water. Odd noises as the compressor cuts on or shuts off. The shelves sag when stuff is in the middle; could be stronger plastic. Don't get stainless - shows handprints and you must use soap and water and then dry it to remove them. I wanted white, but white costs more!
Cools and Freezes evenly and according to thermostat. Interior space in refrigerator is not well organized. Tough to fit large containers. Ice cube maker is good but spills out some into frezer.
I love my new GE fridge! It keeps everything cold, crisp and ready. I get so many compliments on my big boi. I would definitely purchase this fridge again if the need be. Thanks GE for the emails of support and DIY projects from settings to cleaning it, you ROCK!
