Perfect size inside & out. Love the dark gray color—no fingerprints! Makes a ton of ice. Very quiet. Extremely satisfied with purchase.

I really like the GE’s slate finish. It hides prints and is easy to clean. The ice maker has a nice large tray. It’s quiet and does everything I need it to. It’s so nice that I bought a second one.

Spacious refrigerator

We purchased this bottom freezer to replace a GE top freezer we've had since 7/1994. The current top freezer styles were not to our liking so we decided to try a bottom freezer. The refrigerator part is spacious, well lit and will be saving our backs since we don't have to bed over to look throught the veg/fruit bin. We didn't hook up the automatic ice maker because the freezer makes ice in less than 2 hours. We can't fit as much food in the bottom freezer but will adapt. The bottom freezer door is a bit noisy when pulling in and out. Yes the stainless steel shows fingerprints but I use a disinfectant cleaner on the handles daily anyway.

Gallon milk jugs and more fit in the door!

Fits our needs, the color and finish seems more expensive, lots of room, was concerned about noises that it makes, but no longer notice, upgrade for us to have an ice-maker . . . I hope to see it there for many years!

Our expensive Maytag refrigerator went out and went with the basic model GE Glad we did. So far lots of room and we actually like that it’s simple.

Fruit and Vegetable bins

On my current GE refrigerator, similar to this one, the right hand bin has a little latch which will allow the drawer to be moved to the left for removal without unloading everything in the door. (The hinges are on the right). You take the left side drawer (facing the unit) out of the refrigerator and press the latch in the center, and the right side drawer moves enough to the left so it can clear the door. GE thoughtfully did this in case your unit is close to a wall or other obstruction, and the door cannot go all the way to the right.
Does this model have this feature? I see it mentioned nowhere in the manual.
