This would be a great fridge freezer except for the disturbing noise it makes 50% of the time, day and night. It whines so loudly, I play music or wear earplugs all day to drown it out. Having just moved into my first house away from the city seeking peace and quiet, this is making me miserable. GE tech told me it's normal. Loud whining that disturbs you even behind a closed door, is normal?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello,
We can definitely understand how disappointing it is to hear the refrigerator being loud. If you are concerned about a sound or noise, you can check the following link for troubleshooting steps: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=17473
This is certainly not the experience we wish for our consumers to have; therefore, we’ll be happy to share this information with our product team so that they may investigate this as well.
Let us know if we can ever be of assistance and we’ll be happy to help. -Charlie@GEA
I purchased this refrigerator and had to replace it once and now it crapped out on me again. Don't buy this...it's absolutely the worst and is the loudest refrigerator I've ever owned--it runs 90% of the day

We appreciate you for taking the time to provide feedback. We are so sorry to hear that your refrigerator is experiencing issues with operation. We know how frustrating this must be. This is in no way the consumer experience that we strive for, and we would like to gather some further information from you. An agent will be reaching out to you via email. Please respond to the email at your earliest convenience. We are looking forward to connecting with you. - Adrian@GEA
Trying to find instructions on how to level this refrigerator was frustrating and not included in the owners manual. After searching for a good few minutes online I found some help at the GE site. Really should add that to the book please, save people who don't have access to the net some grief... Besides that it seems to be a winner so far.... just had it installed today and still no ice but I think because it's not had enough time to cool yet?!? I'll update if there are any issues with the unit as it could be the installers that messed up.
