Great except noisy

I like the fridge. The freezer is easy to access all items stored. The refrigerator door stores a large capacity for condiments and liquids. Storing most of my smaller items frees up the space in the refrigerator for larger items. The stainless steel outside does not resist fingerprints. I would have rated this fridge higher, but the sound it makes including the ice maker are loud. I have some hearing loss and I can hear it It's a migraine trigger at times. I keep the ice maker off. I would return but it would be extremely difficult. I'm hoping I will eventually not notice the sound. Otherwise, it is a beautiful fridge.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bad motor

A new one day old after waiting 6 months for the unit to arrive the motor on three unit needs to be replaced because of noise from a running motor at slow speed!

Nice but noisy

We were limited to a specific size for our space. This refrigerator fit the specs and so far works well and gives us plenty of space for our food. It is, however, quite noisy and makes some weird noises. You get used to it but it is rather loud at times.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Newer model refrigerators can be a bit louder than the older models you may be used to, because of advances in technology and added features. We do have an article describing normal sounds for the refrigerator to make, if you'd like to make sure the noises you're hearing aren't out of the ordinary: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=15901 . There is also a description of expected sounds for the model on page 42 of your manual.

Poor setup

The waterline to the ice maker lines in the path of the cooling fan. I've had two of these, neither lasting longer than 6 months when the ice maker and water line starts freezing up and keeps freezing up. Looking for another fridge to replace this one again. And also the filter from GE, based on model number, did not fit.

It will take some time getting use to....

Disappointed there is no place for a butter dish. Disappointed that the shelves are all one and not divided in case I need to refrigerate a large pan, which I do often. Miss a top shelf in the freezer. Very different from my old GE bottom freezer. Design on top will prohibit me from opening my cabinets above.

Loud Noise

I had to call for service the day after it was installed. The frig makes this loud squeaking noise. The service man says it's the fan, but I find it hard to believe that this was designed this way. My previous GE Frig worked for 21 years before I had to replace it and it never made such a loud noise.

The new high efficiency compressor on modern refrigerators may run faster and longer than your previous refrigerator and generate more sound. You may hear a high-pitched hum or pulsating sound while it is operating which is normal.
