I would have given 5 stars but...

There are a couple glaring oversights IMO! The hinge pin on the top of the door and the hinge under the door are an eye-catching shiny silver metal. Both are very visible from my dining room and my living room. You would think for the cost of this refrigerator there would be a couple black plastic covers. Other than that the refrigerator itself is beautiful and very quiet!

A great replacement

The original refrigerator was returned to GE under warranty due to being unrepairable. We received this model as a replacement. This model has a water filter for ice, LED lighting, rollers on the draws and very easy access controls.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love the Slate

The new 'color' works out great in my new kitchen. It's not shiny and works well as a neutral. The fridge is roomy enough for my food storage needs, as is the freezer. The bending over to get stuff in and out of the freezer may be an issue for folks with back problems. The fridge door needs to be intentionally shut as it swings open otherwise. All in all, I'm very pleased!

Nice looking refrigerator

We have mostly General Electric appliances in our home, and have trusted the GE name. The refrigerator we recently bought looks nice, and keeps the food cold. The only feature missing is adjustable shelves on the door. I am disappointed that this appliance is not made in The United States, because I like to buy U.S.A. products.
