Extremely Noisy!!!

I purchased this refrigerator/freezer one week ago. I am miserable. The fan is so loud that the noise vibrates off the walls and can be heard two floors away. A GE repairman advised that the only option is to keep the refrigerator/freezer very full to minimize activation of the fan. I have owned other refrigerators and never had this problem.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

When the unit is running, if you're hearing the sound of the fan coming into contact with another part, this could make a loud grinding noise. Good size, great ice maker, fridge is a little loud but nothing that bothers us. Stays pretty clean but we don’t have kids running around. Really like the door alarm feature.
I would recommend this to a friend!
