Plastic freezer baskets...

I bought this fridge about a week ago for my new house, I picked this one in paticular for its size and the bottom freezer which I really wanted over the above freezer. I am not as thrilled as I thought with the freezer baskets as they are plastic and I'm worried about them breaking, also they dont seem to hold as much as it looks. I LOVE the slate although the handle shows every finger smudge in contrast.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Bought about a month ago and very happy with GE refrigerator...always been familiar with GE as a great brand and decided to go with them after not so good experience with other brands of refrigerators.....thanks GE

We love our new fridge!

We carefully chose our appliances for our kitchen remodel and kind of struggled with the size of the fridge. We thought we needed a bigger unit but have discovered that this 30" beauty if plenty big enough for us. I am so happy we did not get the larger model. We love the 'alarm' feature which sounds when the door is left open. We love the Slate color and appreciate that the refrigerator is always free of finger prints!

Simple yet elegant!

I have just had my refrigerator for a short while yet already I am loving the bottom freeze! Both freezer and frig part are roomy and it is easy to reach items on any shelf. I didn't order with all the features, just the basics is what I wanted.

I had two broken vegetable drawers already and chipped glass. I always loved ge think they are making things poorly now. All the money I spent buying all new appliances for kitchen really.

Disappointing!

The shelves on the inside of the door are kind of narrow so it's hard to store larger objects (e.g., wine bottles, 2-liter soda bottles). Also, despite what it says on the Customer Removable Label, there's no Water Dispenser.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good but damper replaced twice

Although the unit cools and freezes well, when the damper opens and closes it sounds will a distant helicopter. We are hoping they find a way to fix this. After two service calls and replacements, the noise is still there. What to do? Take out an extended warranty? I will recommend it for the wonderful color and cooling capacity, hoping it continues to perform.
