Don't Waste Your Money

Worst dishwasher I have ever owned. I run a regular cycle & the dishwasher doesn’t automatically open to let the heat out. If I forget about it even for 30 minutes, everything inside smells like wet dog & I have to rewash. I have resorted to just hand washing all my dishes.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This dishwasher is not designed to open automatically at the end of a cycle. The type of odor you're describing is not normal for a dishwasher. At the end of a cycle, you may have 1-2 cups of clean water standing in the bottom of the unit. Any more water than that may be an indication of an issue with the way the drain hose was installed. We also recommend you check and clean as needed the filter as described on page 18 of the Owner's Manual - https://images.salsify.com/image/upload/s--EszXjA26--/2ee1c206fc195cd1717cedf8b41e2ab95579670c.pdf. If you continue to have an issue, please call our Bodewell service team at 1-833-4Bodewell or visit: https://www.bodewellcareplan.com/schedule-repair-service to have your dishwasher evaluated and repaired as needed.

Works well for the price. Silverware basket needs separators for individual pieces.

New product and 9.5 months later and it just quits working. Checked breaker and nothing. Loaded it up and nothing. I am finding that GE is the most inexpensive cheap product I have ever had. Hopefully it’s still under warranty and they will fix it or replace it.

Heating Element Problems / Lower Wash Arm
on June 17, 2026

The tips melted off the lower water pressure arm. The unit runs ok with the melted tips. The heating element melted the interior door causing a leak at the base of the interior door. After 34 mos of use the unit in inoperable without repair to the interior door and seal. It appears a design flaw, in the heating element proximity to the plastic interior door.

Terrible bottom rack

Why there no guides on the rollers of the bottom rack? The rack keeps falling into the tub.

Already Broken

This Dishwasher has been well maintained since new when we bought the house, used mildly (household of two), and it has already stopped working. Barely 3 years old... not even close to the industry standard. The real test will be what the service department does about it.

In the meantime, we encourage you to check to be sure the controls weren't inadvertently locked. To lock or unlock the control panel, press and hold the "Cycle" pad for a full three seconds. We also recommend checking your household breaker box and make sure the breaker or fuse controlling the power to the dishwasher is still working properly.
