Bottom rack too wide
on June 24, 2025
Posted by: Tonix3
from Dacula, GA
The bottom rack is too wide for the machine. When you move the rack in or out it grabs the gaskets that are on the side that keeps the water in. You have to constantly be putting them back in place which is frustrating. My husband tells me that I can’t put a bunch of plates in it because it weighs the rack down and it pulls the gaskets out worse. What’s the point of having a dishwasher if I can’t fill it to capacity? The rack needs to be narrower so it fits in easily.

Junk

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Only works half the time, maybe. Cycle runs, but when you open the unit afterward, there's soap everywhere and the dishes are still dirty.

We want to assist with the wash performance you are noticing. We recommend checking to ensure that your inlet water temperature is reaching 120°F at minimum. This ensures that the detergent is being fully dissolved and will provide optimal cleaning. For even better results, we suggest using high quality detergents such as Cascade® Platinum™ ActionPacs™ or Finish® Quantum® Automatic Dishwashing Detergent. Dishwashers today may take longer on their wash cycles, but they are more efficient than previous models. Cycle times can also vary depending on the features and the cycle selected. We want to get more information from you and will be reaching out via email soon.

Nice with basic functionality

This is nice but I believe only with basic functionality. Drying the vessels could be better. Internal storage could've been adjustable according to vessels

Thank you for writing a review about this dishwasher. Our dishwasher team will love this feedback. Water entering the dishwasher should be between 120 and 140 degrees Fahrenheit for best wash and dry performance. Run the faucet closest to the dishwasher prior to starting the dishwasher to purge cold water from the hot water line. Check the rinse aid dispenser and fill it if it is empty. Rinse aids prevent spots on glasses and promote drying by causing water to sheet off dishware and glassware. Rinse aids such as Jet-Dry® can be purchased in your local grocery store. These are items to check with poor drying results. Hope this helps. Geoff@GEA

Love the Slate Finish
on November 22, 2021

Because of the shortages right now, I really did not have my choice of GE slate colored dishwashers. This was the only model available and the appliance store only had two left. It is made well, easy to load, and usually gets the job done. Love the one hour cycle option to get the dishes done quickly, but the soap dispenser sometimes does not open or if it opens the soap does not get dissolved on this cycle…

Terrible to load. Feels n looks very cheaply made
on December 4, 2021

I selected this model to match a full suite of new appliances in the Slate color. It is awful to load and we wind up running the dishwasher more often because you can’t load it efficiently. The door feels like it’s a molded piece of plastic. The racks do not glide well. Everything inside is wet after a cycle even when using the heat boost option and with drying agent in the reservoir. It’s loud and has no insulation except for a thin sliver of foam that barely covered only the sides and top. Not even attached or taped. I should have kept mine that was 20 years old and a different brand Very disappointed.
