Good for $. 5 stars if door didn't leak thou.

Dishwasher does a good job cleaning and drying. Bought this slate model to match other appliances. Nice unit in this price range. Not too noisy. Would give it 5 stars if the door didn't have a small leak at left bottom corner. Seal doesn't quite sit right. The previous GE unit had a better design in this area in my opinion.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Disappointing and not well made.

The dishwasher is small. The shelves are not very stable, and always feel like they're about to fall out. Unfortunately, it also does not clean very well; at least 1-2 items every load must be rewashed. It's a disappointment.

DO NOT BUY!!!!!!

This is a builders Grade Dishwasher!!! It take 3 HOURS to Wash and DRY Completely. What a waste this was. We ordered GE Profile Stove ,Microwave and Cooktop. We had an Upgraded Appliance Package and this junk was installed. It's sitting in our Garage waiting on a NEW Dishwasher to replace this. DO NOT BUY!!

Thank you for your review of this dishwasher. The cycle time for each cycle is explained on page 5 of the manual and it does not include dry time. Your feedback will be forwarded to our dishwasher team to review. It is normal for dishwashers to run for up to two hours or more under certain conditions. Cycles times vary because of the clean sensors due to the sensor extending or decreasing cycle time and number of fills based on the soil level. Dishwashers now run longer to ensure good wash performance, but they use less energy while running. Also, in using less water, your water heater does not need to provide as much hot water and therefore is not using energy to heat more water. We apologize for it not meeting your expectations. The dishes are clean and dry, but the dishwasher stays wet. Wet enough that I need to towel dry everything. I tried emptying it right away. I tried waiting 22 or so hours. Also noticed today I have a slow leak when washing. Horrible!

Poor quality and flimsy compared to old machine
on October 18, 2023

This washer is not as well made nor as functional as the 35 year old GE washer it replaced. The interior is dark, the racks are not as easy to load so the dishes are held securely, the dishes do not dry even on the extra heat setting. I cannot load nearly as many dishes in this machine as in my old one. It seems nothing "new" is better than the old version. I am sure this one will not last 335 years.

Hello,
We’re really sorry to know that you are less than satisfied with the design of the dishwasher and your dishes are not drying. We're happy to provide guidance.
We recommend referring to the page 11-15 of the Use and Care Manual for proper loading tips: https://products-salsify.geappliances.com/image/upload/s--KAwIFvFE--/wt9masbafxuwkabch2ql.pdf?_ga=2.191632746.1195013391.1697463964-1734451522.1686318769
For best results, choose the Wash Temp Boost and Dry Boost options. Dry Boost option can be selected by pressing the Dry button twice to illuminate the Boost light. DRY BOOST™ gets hard-to-dry items up to 3 times drier than the heated dry cycle. Use of a rinse agent, such as Finish® Jet-Dry® Rinse Aid, further improves drying results.
If the issue continues, we recommend scheduling an appointment with our factory service and repair team by calling 1-800-432-2737.
If you have any further questions or concerns, please let us know. -Charlie@GEAppliances

Nice with basic functionality

This is nice but I believe only with basic functionality. Drying the vessels could be better. Internal storage could've been adjustable according to vessels

Thank you for writing a review about this dishwasher. Our dishwasher team will love this feedback. Water entering the dishwasher should be between 120 and 140 degrees Fahrenheit for best wash and dry performance. Run the faucet closest to the dishwasher prior to starting the dishwasher to purge cold water from the hot water line. Check the rinse aid dispenser and fill it if it is empty. Rinse aids prevent spots on glasses and promote drying by causing water to sheet off dishware and glassware. Rinse aids such as Jet-Dry® can be purchased in your local grocery store. These are items to check with poor drying results. Hope this helps. Geoff@GEA

Love the Slate Finish
on November 22, 2021

Because of the shortages right now, I really did not have my choice of GE slate colored dishwashers. This was the only model available and the appliance store only had two left. It is made well, easy to load, and usually gets the job done. Love the one hour cycle option to get the dishes done quickly, but the soap dispenser sometimes does not open or if it opens the soap does not get dissolved on this cycle…
