Poor dishwasher

Very dissatisfied with the unit. Dishes do not stand up correctly. Baskets do not slide in and out smoothly. If you use the one hour wash and you want to dry the dishes it has to run for an additional one hour plus. The unit sits to low. Very poor layed out baskets. Very sorry I bought this product.

We'd like to offer some loading tips and provide assistance with the baskets not rolling smoothly. For the racks sticking, we recommend checking the racks for any built-up detergent residue. You can also inspect the track for any obstructions, make sure the rollers are aligned. It can also be normal to notice the dry boost add an additional hour to the cycle, this allows your items to be fully dried. You can also use a rinse aid to boost the drying performance, as it allows water to sheet off and dry faster. Interior is cheaply made. Capacity is average, cycles are too long, no printed operating instructions are included. Sound is quiet.

Poor bottom rack design compared to the old ge model it replaced. Generally cheap feel to the interior. We liked the old ge and selected this one because it was far less expensive than the lg dishwasher but it doesn't approach the quality of the old ge model. The new ge model washes what it hits well but the poor rack design leaves too many opportunities for missed surfaces or poor drainage and drying.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So many Bells and Whistles!

Very nice GE Dishwasher with all the bells and whistles. Noise level is quite and color Slate is fantastic for finger prints or smudges, you can't see them. The Sanitize Cycle was important
to me to get my silverware and dishes cleaned efficiently during this cycle. Large plastic Interior tub always looks sparkling clean without water stains. I recommend this model #GDF550PMRES.

Our favorite being the dedicated Dry Boost, which really helps with ensuring your dishes are dry after a cycle. We also love the AutoSense wash cycle, which allows the unit to detect the soil level and amount of dishes, then automatically adjusts wash settings. We know this model is going to help wash your dishes for many years to come.

This dishwasher does a good job cleaning the dishes, and is quieter than my older Whirlpool model that it replaced. I gave it 4 stars because I don't like the rack layouts as much, and the top rack isn't level. I also have to "jimmy" the top rack when I slide it back, to make it fit into the water connection fitting.
I let the dishes air dry and have not used the dry cycle.
I would recommend this to a friend!
