Portable Griddle

I got this for a gift and I really was looking forward to owning this griddle. But it has super uneven heat on the griddle surface and I think it is because it is the portable unit. So you have to literally avoid the hot area or the food burns. Unfortunately, this was a very highly disappointing gift and purchase.
