I think there is a minor defect and i just opened. The lid didn't open all the way until i loosened the screw. It also seemed bent back there. The top also didn't look thoroughly black. Had brownish hue with spots all over.

I just got finished priming it. I gave it an hour and took my time. It looks smooth as silk and evenly blackened now so I think it’s ready for cooking. I’m excited to cook on it tomorrow and I will give an updated review then.
