Fun but not without it's issues.

It is a great little conversation piece and i love the mechanical portions. The back assembly step124-160 was a major pain in the behind with how unstable it was. The repetitiveness was where the last point was lost. Starting with all the technic pieces then going straight to all the keys was a bore.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Absolutely amazing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this as a gift and I absolutely love it! I’ve only build a few lego sets but this one has the perfect amount of trickiness and fun to it. I owned two original antique typewriter s from the early 1900s that were my grandfathers and this set gets so many details and actions spot on. Couldn’t recommend enough!

Coolest, most complicated set I've ever made

The title of the review says it all. I've rediscovered my love of LEGO as an adult and have mostly gone through the space collection (Saturn V remains a favorite), and this has got to be the coolest build I've ever made. It's incredibly intricate - sometimes to the point where I'd make mistakes and have to start over on certain parts - but appropriately rewarding. So many "Aha!" moments when it started coming together. It's on my desk in my office now and it's definitely a conversation starter when people come by.
My only knock on this is that the spacebar instructions aren't very clear and I couldn't get it to attach at first without going off book. Other than that nitpick, I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a fun, complex build.

Needs improvements

This is a solid set except for the bottom. I had to rebuild the bottom several times. The top is a solid build, but the bottom needs to be as solid as the rest of the set. My return worked a couple times then caught the pushing keys does not move it any longer. So not fun for play, but looks great on a desk.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best kit ever

I love everything about this kit. Building it took 3 days of fun with no major re-dos needed. Intricate and detailed. The finished product is simply beautiful. I love the way it looks, feels, and sounds. What an amazing accomplishment this kit design is. Thank you, Lego.

Pogger set(for the most part...)

i got it for christmas and when l saw it, l was very excited! it took me 2 days to build and when l was done, it was working perfectly but only like 20 minutes after l was done building, it stopped working for some reason. l had to take a huge chunk of the set apart and tried to fix it. when l was done fixing it, it still did not work!!! it was working a little bit but for the most part, it was not functioning good! when l was first done building, it was working 100% but after that, it was working like 20%. l don't know what l did wrong. it was probably something l did wrong... l would highly still recommenend it!

We want you to enjoy all the realistic functions of this Typewriter again! Rebuilding should get things to work, making sure to follow the instructions to the letter and not leaving any gaps between the bricks. I put this set together during the holiday break. I have an extremely busy job and it’s hard for me to just lie around watching television. This was the second of four sets I put together over the holidays and I loved it. It wasn’t as sturdy for me though but it looks beautiful in my office.
I would recommend this to a friend!
