Not a rain master

I live in Oregon and while camping you get rain sometimes, after a lot of research I found this tent the Weather Master "Guaranteed to keep you dry". during one of our camp outs it started to rain that morning, with in 20 minutes the tent started to leak through the rain fly, not the seems (they were taped) but right through the material. After 35 minutes it started to leak at each corner of the tent. After the trip I called Coleman, customer service was great they said this tent should have performed better than it did and sent me another. This week we set it up in the back yard and after a couple of days we had some rain showers one morning and it failed in the exact same way, first the rain fly then the corners. I couldn't believe it. I have been a long time consumer of Coleman products they have always been great but this was the first time I tried one of their tents and I am not happy about the performance of their tent. The other thing about this tent is that when it's put together the sides are not very taught, rather floppy. Not sure what else to say except, it's a good tent if you live or camp where it doesn't rain but if there is ever a chance of rain that will last longer than 20 minute I would not buy it.

Not a weather master

Tent part was amazing, kept everything dry in the thunderstorm, till the poles started bending and breaking in the wind that comes along with the rain (they’re not a heavy gage). Now I now have a great tent with no poles. The only pole that didn’t bend and break were 3 of the arch poles for the top of the tent.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Purchased these for our Scout Troop

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not as nice as I expected them to be, we purchased these for our Scout Troop so several boys could share a tent. Last campout we had 25 - 35 MPH winds and storms tents took on water and one tent completely collapsed from the wind.. it first twisted and bent we straighten it back out then it went down after next strong wind. Top Knuckle where supports come together just didn't hold.. Doors original design was nice to be able to open like a door but the zippers didn't hold up for long the flaps and velco helps but without zippers lets in weather.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Awesome tent

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The setup on this tent is straightforward and easy. It's HUGE on the iside. The two downaward sloping windows on the ends are a nice feature giving great ventilation without having to worry about rain getting in..

Spacious and affordable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wonderful addition to our camping collection. We never know how many may show up and this tent gives us the exta room we need. The only change I would make is to the door. zipper tends to get hung when trying to exit from inside. We added a carabiner to the zipper to allow for easier opening.

I have had this tent for 7+ years. I have only used the sealer on it for the first time this year, as it leaked on me for the first time. One other time it leaked only because I didn't have the rainfly staked properly. Pros of this tent: It is spacious, it holds during heavy storms, lots of airflow, and I can put up by myself in about 15 minutes. I am a 45 yo woman. If you pack it properly, it fits nicely back into the bag. Cons: after 7 years of use the ends of the tent began to sag which causes loss of space inside, zipper on door has begun to stick which causes opening and closing difficulty, and one corner stake loop ripped off (just this year) but I sewed it back and works just fine. Overall this is an excellent tent. I had a queen on one side and 2 twins on the other with room in the middle to walk and change. As with any tent keep things away from touching the side or you will have leaks, if nothing is touching it WON'T leak.

Great space for our 6 person family! We use 3 twin air mattresses, 1 queen air mattress and 1 toddler air mattress with space for bags and extras. Yes, that is alot of air mattresses...we sleep good! The hinged door is great for keeping the tent closed as kids are running in and out. We use an additional setup for kitchen and everything else outside, so we had tons of room inside. We see big wind here in the Midwest and the structure of this tent does great!

Excellent Tent

We have had this tent for three years now and it has seen it's share of wind and rain. During each storm, the tent remained stable and leak-free. The hinged door is absolutely spectacular! I don't think I will ever go back to zip door. In heavy winds, it is possible to zip the door shut from the inside, but we have never had issues with the door staying closed. It's definitely roomy! We have more than enough room for 2 full size cots, a fold-up table and chairs. We have even hauled our bikes inside to keep them dry. Love this tent!
