Absolute Must Have

This product brings such peace of mind to any parent!
We still used ours for our 14 month old. Just the other week checked the owlet as she was making a tiny bit of noise. The O2 sats were at 87, far below her normal of 98-100 (but, as a nurse, I knew not critical). When we went to check on her we discovered she had vomited in her sleep and had a fever. As we were cleaning up, she threw up 3 more times. Thank goodness for the owlet, or we may not have been present with her and she could have aspirated on all that vomit in her sleep.

My baby survived!

If you’re looking for a sign to buy an owlet, this is it. We have used the owlet for over 16 months (since my daughter was a newborn) and we have never had a red alert. Which we are thankful for. However, tonight was the first night, multiple people were alerted through the owlet app and the base monitor that my daughter had a red alert. Her footed pajamas had tightened around her neck, because of how she was laying. Therefore, she became sweaty and lacking air, but I was able to wake her up and get her pajamas off of her in time and she is okay. Tonight, more than every, I am thankful we choose owlet to help protect the most Most precious gift we have ever been given.

Not Compatible with 5G

I bought this unit one week ago. It is not compatible with 5G WIFI. I discovered this while trying to sync with my IPHONE. It is a great concept but it’s not worth the the price I paid if I can’t use it to its fullest extent. If they can’t make compatible with constantly updating technology. They should provide a read out on the unit.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Second Pair of Watchful Eyes

Omg the owlet foot monitor baby cam combo . Gives you so much piece of mind and is hands down worth every penny . The camera links to your phone , so you can see your baby anywhere anytime. When I had class at night , I could check my owlet cam and see live footage of him just snoozing away . The foot sock tracks oxygen saturation and heartbeat . My grandma lost a child to SIDS , so it had always been a huge fear of mine . It doesn’t prevent SIDS but it will alarm you immediately if the oxygen levels drop below normal or the heart rate is below normal or too high meaning distress , which can give you the seconds you need for live saving actions . Basically I could sleep soundly because I had a second pair of eyes constantly watching . Here is my baby now on the owlet cam, he has since grown out of his owlet sock .

Connecting issues

I love the owlet but it goes off numerous times for sock connection issue. It will read and show me her stats but then immediately after go off. It does this several times through the night and there is nothing wrong with the sock. It only works intermittently.
I also wished they had a smaller sock option for a preemie baby.

You can't put price on peace of mind

Before we got the Owlet, I wasn't sleeping at night. I was too busy watching my baby breathe and making sure he was okay. I understand the owlet doesn't prevent SIDS, however, if his oxygen level or heart rate were to drop, we would be alerted and could interfere. Best baby purchase we have made.
