We purchased a fully intact Owlet sock and base station from a close friend after hearing how wonderful it was for them. We have experienced nothing but issues with it. Constantly disconnecting even when the (really good) internet is in the same room. Battery won't charge from the Owlet base or any other micro USB cord. Straight garbage used product. Wish we wouldn't have wasted money on it.

Very Disappointed, Went Back to Snuza

I was very disappointed in the Owlet. I (thought I had) upgraded from the Snuza Hero to the Owlet, however, quickly realized that for the three weeks I had the Owlet I would get a false notification every. single. night. I looked at the website to ensure proper placement, I adjusted and readjusted, I switched from the "old" sock to the new one, I made it tight, I made it loose, I tried left foot and then right foot, etc. I chatted online with people, and on the app and on the phone. I watched videos, I emailed with customer service. I did EVERYTHING! Once the sock sort of started working the terrible Beta version of the Android App stopped working. What's the point of the sock without the app? I finally decided to box it up and return it and go back to the Snuza. Haven't had a false alarm since. That is true peace of mind. Once I returned it I realized there was a new version coming out, so that means that even Owlet knows their product needs work.
Cons: Android App, False Alarms Despite Proper Placement

Helped Us Notice Baby Was in Respiratory Distress

I am a new mom to a beautiful 6 month old baby girl. We bought the Owlet sock when she was around 3 months old and diagnosed with severe reflux to give us peace of mind when she (and we) slept at night. Due to her reflux, she was always very stuffy and congested. As we entered cold and flu season, I was comforted by knowing we had the Owlet looking after her overnight as she was battling colds and even more congestion, as most babies do over the winter. What I was not expecting, was the Owlet to alert me that something more was going on, something that I probably would have overlooked. Our daughter's levels were always in the 98-100 percentile range, even with congestion. Last week, she came down with a bad cough and runny nose. We figured it was just another cold as she did not have a fever and otherwise seemed completely normal. We took her to the pediatrician and they assured us it was just a cold. A few nights later, as she slept, her oxygen levels dipped to 92-93%, not enough to set the alarm off, but enough to know that that was not normal for her. The next day, I noticed her starting to pull in her chest slightly while she was breathing. We immediately went to the Emergency Room and she was admitted for a moderate case of RSV that was on the borderline of severe. She again did not have any fever and otherwise seemed normal. Had it not been for the Owlet letting me know that her levels were dropping at night, I'm not sure that I would have known to pay attention to her chest a little bit more to know that it was more than just a cold. The doctors told us it was good that we brought her in that day, otherwise her case would have likely been a bad one. I have never been more thankful for a product in my entire life. Purchasing the Owlet was the best decision I could have ever made as a new mom. Thank you!!!

I love that it is easy to use. It doesn't seem to bother the baby one bit.

I wish the Owlet had better range - it really only works in one room at a time. I'd like the option to have multiple receivers/bases that all identify one sock. Overall we absolutely love this product. It is absolutely no excuse fornsafe sleep practices, but it helps me sleep better at night! We had one alarm go off in the middle of the night and are so thankful!!
Pros: Cell phone compatibility is great, Company stands behind product, Easy to hook up and use, Great for parents with preemies, Peace of mind
Cons: Multiple receivers for one sock would be nice, Short range (one room at a time)

Love the Owlette because I get some sleep without worrying and constantly checking in on him. The app is a great idea but it rarely loads correctly. Very disappointed in the app not working properly.
Pros: Peace of mind
Cons: App rarely loads

This monitor is excellent for some peace of mind while trying to go to sleep. Our son was born premature and stayed in the NICU for his first week. While there he was monitored 24/7 by both heart rate monitors and his oxygen levels. When we brought him home and were able to use the owlet to do the same thing, it brought such a great sense of relief that our son was ok all night! The only thing I wish the monitor did, which could easily be added in the app later, is to display not just current vitals but a graph of passed vitals. If there was an issue or concern about breathing or heart rate irregularities it would be great to be able to then save those past charts and show the pediatrician.
Pros: Monitors both heart rate and oxygen level!, Nightstand monitor and iPhone app!
I would recommend this to a friend!
