The owlet is disappointing

I really like the idea behind this, but I could never get it to work. The sock is constantly falling off, which causes the alarm to go off and wakes my baby up. Very counterproductive. If the sock isn't falling off then the base station won't stay connected, or the sock won't stay charged. I have had the alarm go off multiple times, (almost every time I used it) but never because my baby was in any sort of danger. The owlet has caused more stress then it has peace of mind. I have really tried to make it work because it is such a pricey product, but I wish I had never received one. Again, I love the idea, but unfortunately the owlet did not meet my expectations.
Pros: Great concept
Cons: Base station disconnects easily, Sock constantly falls off, Uncomfortable sock for baby, Very pricey, Won't stay charged
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Positive - It helps you sleep at peace; the "wiggling" feature allows you to do other work at home peacefully even if you don't have a camera; it tracks my baby's sleep/ wake cycle which is important for parents who are sleep training their babies; very manageable and easy to clean.
Negatives - the wifi connectivity of the monitor keeps falling off and most of the time the app is completely useless. Given the price of the product, the least they can do is higher better developers to create a better app.

I’ve used the owlet smart sock with all three of my children. My 3rd baby Hartley is 7 weeks old l, and at 5 weeks we got multiple high heart rate alerts. 304 beats per minute! We saw a cardiologist the next day and they thought no way that can’t be right she is acting totally normal. We got sent home with a monitor for the doctor to monitor her heart. Days later we got the diagnosis of a Super Ventricular Tachycardia Arrhythmia. Turns out her heart gets up to 300 beats per minute all through the day and could have been really dangerous if we didn’t catch it. I’m so thankful for the owlet. She’s now on medication but I sleep easy knowing the owlet works and will let me know if my baby is ok.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Saved my granddaughters life

At 10 days old the monitor went off a few times and alerts her parents her sats had dropped below 90 because of the owlet they were able to show the trend to the Doctor and she was taken to the hospital for surgery. She was not breathing when she feel asleep and without the Owlet monitor I believe she would have became a SIDs static. Thank you for your product and saving my precious Raye OF Sunshine's Life.

Only worked for 1 month

My monitor only worked for 1 month, and during that time it seemed to disconnect often sounding false alarm. I-phone app never seemed to function properly. After 1 month of use, monitor would disconnect from base every 15- 30 minutes waking my son when alert played. After sever back and forth conversations with tech support I was mailed a new foot monitor, not base. I followed all instructions tech support gave me. New monitor still will not connect to base. I was told I needed to deal with master tech support. I waited several weeks, sent several emails and told master techs were very busy. After more than 2 weeks I get an email that says I just need to unplug it and wait a minute before rep lugging it in. Seriously? Like that was not the first thing we had tried? I was so excited about this product and hoped it would amazing- but it ended up being a lot of hassle and a big waste of time and money:(
Cons: App on phone freezes, does not work, Pricey / Poor Value, Problem staying connected to base, Wakes baby up when it disconnects from base

Falls off too much

The sock falls of wayyyy to easily. I tried using it the first night and the moment I fell asleep I was woken up by the tune it plays when it falls off. This happened 3 times before I gave up and took it off. Haven't used it again since. My sleep is already interrupted enough as it is. Also if you bought baby footy pajamas. Good luck, because the moment the sock falls off you have to unwrap him and fix the sock (even though he's finally asleep), wrap him back up and pray he doesn't move. Debating to send it back..
Pros: Peace of mind
Cons: Sock is awkward- falls off

HUGE LET DOWN

Well, purchased this today with my son just leaving NICU. After seeing how fast his O2 dropped, I wanted some extra peace of mind. Get it unpacked, go to set up, NO APP. Sucks because we were so excited. God only knows when the app will be available again.
