Constant disconnects, base repeatedly turns off

Extraordinarily disappointed in this expensive and useless purchase. It disconnects continually, can't find the base unit when it's 2 feet away, and the base unit turns itself off repeatedly and randomly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Owlet saved my sons life!!!

My son was born 10/1/16 5 weeks early. I brought him home on that Tuesday 10/4. Wednesday night 10/5 at about 9:45 the owlet monitor went red. I ran to my son and he was completely blue. I picked him up and started CPR. I was able to bring him back because the owlet monitor caught it in time. My son has been in the nicu since with apnea of prematurity. We are on the mend and I will forever harp for all mothers to invest in an owlet. Thank you so much and I am forever in debt.
Pros: Caught it within 10 seconds
Cons: Setup was a little dofficult

I use my Owlet every time I put my baby down for a nap. I feel at peace with this product. I've never had a problem with false alarms, sock size, or set up ( did have xa little trouble getting the sock to turn off). The Owlet is also easy to travel with.
Cons: Getting the sock to turn off

Saved my daughters life (multiple times)!!!

We were gifted the owlet at our baby shower and little did we know how life changing it would be. Our daughter has epilepsy and started having seizures at 12 months old. The form of epilepsy she has prevents her body from coming out of a seizure naturally, so when she is having a seizure she needs her rescue medication quickly to save her. The owlet has alarmed us countless times of seizures she is having in the middle of the night. It has been because of the alarms that we’ve are able to administer her medication quickly and save her life. We are eternally grateful for this product.

Love our sock...wish we could still use it!

My husband and i LOVE our owlet sock. Unfortunately my son outgrew it at about 14 months old. We loved the peace of mind we had while sleeping knowing his oxygen and heart rate we’re being monitored. We never had issues with our sock. Please owlet consider making larger sizes for toddlers. Parents need peace of mind for as long as we can get it!

My baby boy was a premature infant and had swveral bradycardic and apnic wpisodes while in the NICU. And as a premature infant, I had read that he was at increased risk for SIDS. So when I heard of the owlet sock, I was super relieved to know that there would be another safety net (other than myself) to make sure he was safe. The three different alerts (yello, blue and green) from the base help you distinguish between an actual drop in heart rate/ oxygenation versus the sock being off his foot or being too far to read. And did I mention that the setup was extremely easy! I also took with me to the NICU to test how accurate it was against the hospital monitors. It was on the money every time! This product is outstanding! And because of it I'm actually able to get sleep when my baby rests. Thank you thank you thank you!

Sleep Easy

Our son was born 12 weeks early and spent his first 95 days of life in the NICU hooked up to monitors. The Owlet is good for us to transition from being monitored 24/7 and is giving us peace while we sleep. We have had two alarms. I think one was a false but I would rather it false alarm than not alarm.
Pros: Peace of mind
Cons: Pricey / Poor Value, The sock fits better on his right foot

Saved His Life!

I normally do not take the time to review products but this cannot be avoided. I will start out by saying that as a nurse and mother of 4 boys I am what most would call “cool and calm” in life and work. A product like this, in my former opinion, is too much. The cost does not outweigh the benefits. I criticized my sister for using Owelet with her children. However, after my fourth was born and we began sleeping with him to survive, I found peace of mind in our borrowed Owelet from sister (I have apologized for judging long ago).
Then it happened to us...
After about 1-2 weeks of use, I was getting my near 3 week old ready for bed and the alert alarm would not stop! I was so irritated, ready to throw it in the garbage and muttering under my breath what a peace of junk it was. After several minutes of resetting and repositioning I stopped and assessed the situation myself. It was true! My sweet baby’s heart was racing at nearly 280!! I rushed him to the nearest emergency room where they struggled to stabilize him and watched my baby go through what no parent should ever have to endure.

I was so irritated, ready to throw it in the garbage and muttering under my breath what a peace of junk it was. We now sit in the pediatric cardiac intensive care unit 4 day later. He is improving and the meds are working, Thank God! It took some time but we now believe we are on the “up and up”. His newly diagnosed AVRT arrhythmia will need close follow up and meds for an unknown number of years. But we are amongst the lucky ones. Parents need to know this devise exists and be properly educated on its potential to bring not only peace of mind but to literally save lives. Without it, we would have gone to bed not aware of what was going on in a normal acting newborn and woke up after a good night sleep to God knows what!?!! And if it helps seal the deal for you, our EP pediatric cardiologist and the team of doctors and nurses have been amazed at our story and are comfortable that when we do eventually get to go him he has Owelet to continue to monitor him. He has reached out to the company himself!
