Must buy!

As every mother does you constantly check if your Bub is breathing, I was waking up multiple times a night in the beginning checking if she was breathing. But using this took all the stress away from that and I could actually have a good nights rest. I’ve recommended it to everyone I know planning/pregnant. 100% worth the money. Best investment and invention on the market for your little one.

Worth it but..

I love this product, I bought the owlet sock 3 plus bundle, gives me such peace of mind and hasn’t given me any false readings and I’ve used it for six months. Being a nurse though I’d like to be able to pause the yellow and blue notifications for longer or turn them off. I’d also like to be able to edit the parameters for the oxygen and heart rate.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Wouldn't sleep without it

Bought this when my son was born 11 weeks premature, because i knew there was no chance I would ever sleep again if I didnt have the peace of mind that something would alert me if something was wrong! He's worn it every night since coming home from hospital and this Mumma has been able to rest!
The only thing I would change, is being able to change the alert presets, so instead of alerting below 60bpm, change it to 80 or 90. Overall an amazing product and highly recommended by me!!

Owlet helped save my baby

When I bought my Owlet monitor while I was pregnant, I seriously thought I was just being overprotective, but I knew it would give me peace of mind. When my newborn got sick with an upper respiratory virus, I was incredibly glad to have it to monitor my baby's breathing while I slept and couldn't be watching her. But even then I never imagined I would ever be able to say that without the Owlet, I'm not sure my baby would be here today. She had been fussy all day, which isn't like her but she was clearly congested and mad about it. We had seen a doctor and she had tested positive for RSV, and we were given a list of criteria to look for to tell us if she needed to go to the hospital, but at that point she wasn't fitting the criteria for respiratory distress yet. She finally fell asleep and I put her to bed, happy that I could finally attend to all of the daily chores I had been neglecting while dealing with a fussy baby all day. I wasn't more than 20 feet away from her, but I wasn't staring right at her because I had other kids and chores to attend to. Then the red alert went off. You won't mistake that sound! My husband was upstairs sleeping off a long night tending to baby to let me get rest, and I heard his feet hit the floor immediately. I ran over to the baby and her lips were very pale with a bluish tint. This was no false alarm!! A trip to the ER and a few days in the hospital later, and all I can do is sit back and reflect on how, without the Owlet, my infant would have slipped quietly away in her sleep. The hospital confirmed she was desaturating on her O2 levels when in a deep sleep cycle and she spent the next few days on oxygen. I've never had any troubles of false alarms with my unit, but at this point it could give me a false alarm once a week and I wouldn't care. Because when my alarm went off, it was NOT false! Many thanks to the Owlet team for putting this product on the market. Every time I hold my daughter, I will be forever grateful

Best money ever spent

At first I balked at the price, but after reading about yet another baby who passed away from SIDS, I grabbed my phone and ordered the Owlet without a second thought. I am SO glad I did. My son is 3 months old, and I have spent every night of his life checking and rechecking and checking again to make sure he was breathing. He recently contracted RSV and the day he was diagnosed, our Owlet arrived. That very first night, the Owlet alerted us that his oxygen levels were low, as he was struggling with the congestion in his chest. We quickly woke him up and he was able to cough and clear his airway, then slept peacefully for a solid 6 hours. We've only been using it for a week, but I cannot imagine a night without our Owlet. The cost may seem expensive at first, but the peace of mind (and sleep) it brings is priceless.

We have twins, and any parent who's had preemies in the NICU will tell you that the pulse ox and heart rate monitor becomes a comfort, so we were stoked to find this product. Unfortunately Owlet just can't get it right. We've had a malfunctioning sock, and now a malfunctioning base. It's not a very multiples-friendly product and there is a lack of resources online to trouble shoot at home since customer service is so incredibly terrible. We're going to try the Mimo instead. I won't be recommending this product to my fellow mothers on any of the baby boards I belong to.

Know issues that arent being fixed

The only notification we ever get is blue which means the base has disconnected from the sock. The base doesn't move... we goes days without having a problem and then it disconnects so much i have to turn it off. So why have the stupid thing? Also the app is total trash it NEVER works. You can open it but you arent going to see any reading but the next day you can see it in the history so there's that....

My husband and I are first time parents and when a friend told us about the owlet I was skeptical. After many nights of waking every hour to make sure our daughter was still breathing, constant fears about SIDS and just an over all overwhelmed feeling, we decided to give it a try. We use the owlet every night on our little love and have been extremely grateful to have it. It has gone off with a red alarm twice and both times my daughter was holding her breath. I am so grateful to the owlet team!
