Not as great as it seems

This was the most important item on my registry and I was thrilled when I received it; however, it's not living up to its expectations. The app for these items is terrible. It took me forever just to set up the sock and camera because the app kept glitching. The camera feed lags behind and the sock readings constantly set off the base because of app glitches. You would think that for as expensive as this monitoring system is, their app would be impeccable.
I'm sure there are monitoring systems out there for a lesser price and better results. I would not recommend spending money on this or asking someone else to.

Great product and great customer service

I am a first time mom who has PPA. It's centered around my baby and I'm constantly worrying about her. Before the owlet I would just stand next to her bassinet and make sure she was breathing. We had a scare with her choking while in the bassinet and that made the anxiety even worse. After a lot of waffling I ordered the owlet. It was the best decision ever. I'm much calmer and whenever I feel anxiety I can just check the app and see her vitals. Of course it doesn't cure anxiety but it's made things much more manageable.
That was over 6 months ago. Today, our sock wasn't charging and the base was constantly beeping. I called support and they were wonderful. They determined the sensor was failing and are sending us a new one. Just amazing customer service.

It is nights like tonight that I am SO thankful for our owlet sock- my 7 month old was diagnosed with having RSV and obviously it has been such a worry for us. You read all the terrible articles going around about kids being hospitalized and it's really scary. On top of that having a fussy baby all day and an even fussier baby at night due to not being able to breathe well, it means that I dont get much sleep. BUT when he does fall asleep, my worry has been minimized but this product. It allows my husband and I to sleep comfortably knowing our little one is still being watched after. That although he sounds absolutely horrible, that his levels are still good. As a first time mom, this sock has been a game changer for us. We recieved so many awesome shower gifts, however this by far was the best! I recommend it to all new and veteran parents! He has worn this from the day he came home from the hospital and will continue to wear it until he just cant fit into anymore! #notanAd #justahugefan

This sock literally changed our lives

Once we moved our daughter to her own room we started using the owlet sock monitor to give us peace of mind that she was okay. One night when she was 5 months old the alarm went off to let us know her oxygen levels were dropping. I ran to her room and she rolled onto her stomach but couldn’t roll back so her face was buried in the mattress and her breathing was shallow. I rolled her back and woke her up and she was fine again. Words cannot describe the feeling that something is wrong with your baby but I am so grateful we had this sock on her. I can’t even think about what would have happened if it wasn’t on. My husband and I recommend this to everyone we know who is expecting because of how much this helped us.

A MUST HAVE BABY ITEM!

My 5 month old daughter has been wearing the owlet since she came home from the hospital! I’m a first time mom and my husband is a first time dad. To say the owlet gives us peace of mind while we sleep is an understatement. I personally think the owlet should be number one on everyone’s registry list! Not only does the owlet give you some time to get some sound sleep, but this product saved my daughters life. The other night around 8 pm I put her to bed and not even 10 minutes later an alarm starts going off and my
Phone starts beeping saying my daughters oxygen levels dropped to dangerous levels. I immediately run over to her crib in sheer panic! I pick my daughter up to try and stimulate her and she seems fine which is rather odd to me... I bring her to the hospital and come to find out she has pneumonia!!!! Not EVER did she show any symptoms of being sick !! She didn’t have a cough, she wasn’t sneezing , she wasn’t even wheezing !! Without me having the owlet on her foot the pneumonia would have gotten worse and her lungs would have completely filled with fluids. My doctors applauded the owlet for saving my daughter before it was too late! So moms and dads out there please make this product top priority when creating and registry!!!

We bought this for our preemie born at 28 weeks. He was in the nicu for 57 days and came home February 1st. He’s been home over a month. The owlet went off every 30 minutes even with us swapping feet to make sure. He wasn’t acting himself either so I knew it wasn’t something to ignore. So I took him to the ER and sure enough his oxygen was low and he actually declined even more while we were there. We were admitted and in the hospital for 2 nights until he could keep his oxygen up with no help. I had multiple nurses and doctors tell me that buying the owlet was a good idea and helped save him because he was so sleepy and barely reacting to anything being done to him in the beginning. He had a viral infection, acid reflux, and diagnosed with laryngomalacia. Thank you Owlet! I recommend this 100%

I’ve had the sock now for 18 months (3/2020 right when Covid started) when my daughter was born and I bought the smart sock 2… (then I upgraded to the sock 3 about 4 months later) but I’ll start there. The sock gave us peace of mind and knowing that our newborn is safe at night in her bassinet. I will say that the sock 2 did work with the SNOO bassinet but our bassinet never increased speed much since our girl was a good sleeper. Now it didn’t work in the swing at all… however the sock 3 does!! Our swing had to be on the first level but it worked and she loved to take her naps there so that great for us! Back to the sock 2, we had a lot of base station issues (only for the app but the base was connected to the sock and that part always worked, but the sock 3 has had barely any issues and I love it! I HIGHLY recommend it and honestly I’d rather have the sock more than anything else! If I know my baby is safe, I can figure the rest out! I depended on a lot of these reviews to purchase this sock and I’m so glad I did. I will be purchasing the larger sock to go up the the sock plus that will fit my sock 3. The charging is wayyyy easier on the 3 than the 2, but all in all if price is an issue the sock 2 does the job the same (just with a little less battery time and you gotta plug it in vs just a quick magnet charge). Also, some or a lot of the reviews are old and on the ORIGINAL sock which was glitchy, but with all the app improvements even over the last 18 months, this is an amazing product and my sock 2 has performed better with the updates as well and doesn’t seem to have the base station issues that it did when I first started using it. I would honestly pay a lot more if I had to since it’s worth every penny! You just can’t justify money over safety in my opinion! I just had to write this review if it helps anyone that’s teetering whether or not to get it… GET IT and get your SLEEP!
Oh, also… fun fact! I can tell if my daughter is getting a fever… (vaccines) heart rate has a steady increase on the graph vs more of a straight line AND I know if the Tylenol is working because her heart rate will drop to normal and continue a straight pattern till the fever picks up again, so you just get to know the normal and for me, that’s good because at least I’ll know if something is off with oxygen or heart rate. Check out the graphs, very easy to use, and I like the tracking for every night and nap! Give it a chance and you won’t regret it.
Oh, also… fun fact!
