We love this product! We have used it for one month and are incredibly impressed. The app is very simple and the features are easy to use. We love that after the baby goes to sleep we can watch a movie downstairs and know our phones will go off if there's a problem upstairs. We've had two experiences with the battery suddenly dying, but it seems to be working fine now so that might have been user error. (Although it doesn't last the full time it says... More like 16-17 hours, tops, and normally ~15.) We also love that the app tracks her sleep and lets us know how many hours she snoozed. Overall we love the peace of mind this product offers!

My son was born at 34 weeks. He had trouble with his oxygen and even ended up on a ventilator during his NICU stay. I noticed at times while I was holding him in NICU that his oxygen would drop in the 60's depending on how he was being held. I knew when the day came for us to bring him home I was as scared but needed to be prepared. I was so scared of SIDS and started to search for monitors while baby slept. So out of all of the products I searched and reviews I read, the owlet seemed to have the best reviews and ratings. Now I understand the product may be priced higher than expected but I will tell you like I told my husband, you cant put a price on my babies life. The price is worth it. The product does exactly what its meant to do, sets off an alert at the base and on my cell phone as well. We do not sleep at night unless the owlet is on babies foot.

It’s worth it!

Having my twins prematurely and spending 50ish days in the NICU, I knew this was something that my husband and I would want to utilize once we were able to bring them home.
Yes, if you are having twins you would need to buy 2 of these. However, it’s a small investment that really has huge benefits.
Pros: It tracks oxygen, heart rate, sleep patterns. It’s interesting to track which baby happened to be wide awake in their bassinet when everyone else was snoozing. Oxygen was a must for us as we have a baby that would sometimes hold their breath. Not to mention, babies love to spit up while lying flat. This helped me sleep through the night knowing they were clearing their airway and I didnt need to assist. I also like that it tracks the battery life and informs us if the battery is getting low. The product also comes with 2 socks in each size to rotate feet. NICU nurses suggested rotating along with each diaper change. My smaller twin came home a little over 5 lbs and while it was a pain at first getting to fit, it does work for that small of a size. I also like that I can monitor how they are doing if Im not at home and they are left with a care taker.
Cons: Good God, the sound the base makes when it falls off their foot is SO annoying. It tends to go off during diaper changes, feedings or burpings. You can pause it but only for 60 seconds. I wish there was an option to stop it for longer and let it know you’re in the middle of cleaning a dirty butt and cant tend to the noise. Also, having twins, I wish there was a way to customize the noise. If an alarm is going off, it’d be nice to know which baby it is referring to without having to grab our phone to check the notifications. We’ve placed our bases in different locations of the house to tell which belongs to which baby.
Overall, its a tool that eases our mind. Definitely worth it.

Perfect for Premies

Having two premature twins in the NICU for almost a month, bringing them home was scary. Having the owlet gave us so much peace of mind because we were so used to seeing them being monitored every second and we didn’t have to worry during nap times and could monitor them right from our phone through the owlet app. We are so grateful to have the owlet.

Excellent picture quality

I bought this for my preemie grandson to help his parents relax a bit when they bring him home from the hospital in a few weeks or so. I set it up to see how easy it is to use and am currently able to monitor our pups while we are out of the house

For me it's Peace of Mind

I registered for the Owlet before my baby arrived and did not recieve it. Fast forward to month 3- my baby starts rolling from back to belly and wants to sleep face down! I am horrified and scared he won't be able to breathe and after a couple night spent watching him sleep to make sure the baby is breathing, my husband and I decided we needed to try this product for our sanity. It is expensive but has definitely calmed us down. If the baby stops breathing, is low on oxygen or heart rate is strange, then we would know right away and can do something about it. For us, this peace of mind is worth the money and pain of making sure we have it on correctly every time the baby goes to sleep.

We have 31 week premie twins and we were so worried about taking them home the smart sock 3 gives us piece of mind by letting us check on their vitals

Peace of mind DOES have a price!

This sock is amazing. Recommended 1000% we have had 1 red alert when our son was about a week old and in that split second the sock paid for itself many times over. I love, love, love this sock and the app that goes along with it. It's also very interesting to go back and review the quality of sleep our son got! I cannot say enough good things about this product. I recommend to everyone I meet that is expecting or has a little one. I would give it more than 5 stars if I could.
My only regret is not knowing there was a 3rd generation out when we purchased our 2nd generation as the 3rd they altered so it can be worn on either foot while the 2nd generation must be worn on right foot only.
