Peace of mind!

We registered for and received this as a gift. I work in healthcare, in the operating room; and I use heart rate and oxygen monitors to monitor patients every day. The Owlet gives me that same sense of security at home. We have had no problems from our Owlet; and it allows me to go to sleep peacefully at night, and leave my son in his room during naps during the day while I’m catching up around the house!
My only suggestion would be to offer each sock individually! Our size 2 sock became soiled a few times, and even after washing was quite stained. We ordered a complete set, but only needed the size 2 replacement.

Peace of mind

I bought this almost 3 weeks ago and I love it. The socks fit well and doesn’t seem to irritate the babies skin or anything. It stays on well and the battery lasts a long time all night and into the day. The alarm is a loud lullaby but you couldn’t miss it or sleep through. The only thing I don’t like is that there is a slight delay from when it senses it and alerts you. But I am sure theres a way to adjust that in the settings on the app I haven’t messed with it yet. But I love being able to check his stats on my phone from anywhere in the house, real quick for peace of mind. I also wish I got the camera option as well. And it also tells you when the baby is moving or wiggling which is also great if you can’t just look over and check on them in the night but know they are okay or awake. Just looking at the green light on the base is peace of mind at times. Our baby was in the NICU because he was early so we love this product. Worth the money.

Not as great as I expected.

I was so super excited to get this. It’s easy to put on and I love being able to see my daughters readings of how she slept but the base is constantly disconnecting from my phone and saying app searching for base. I always leave the app running and make sure not to close out but it doesn’t make a difference. It’s extremely annoying because I have to get up and unplug the base and let it restart. One night I even had the base station on but didn’t log into the app and there were no readings the next morning so even with the base on it wasn’t even working! Very disappointed for the amount of money we spent on it.

Disappointment

Very disappointed in this product, especially with the amount they are charging. I have the sock and the camera. I have not been able to use the camera that I bought over 6 months ago due to connection and wifi. I have to have 5ghz wifi for school and work therefore cannot connect the camera or sock to the internet. I use the sock but have to trust the product to be working since I cannot connect to the live information on the app again because of the internet. I tried getting assistance to find out if they would be upgrading or adding the 5ghz capability soon and no one would discuss anything with me. I was just continuously told to switch my wifi to 2.4ghz which is not fast enough for my school and work that I have to do online.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Sock never connects to app. Sent me a new sensor l, couldn’t ever get it to connect to base. Base doesn’t work, sock burnt my child’s foot and my finger.

Worth the price!

We bought the owlet sleep sock monitor for our 5th child. I have always been the parent that checks their baby's breathing 20x a night at the cost of my own much needed sleep. The owlet gives me peace of mind knowing that I will be alerted if there is a dangerous drop in my baby's oxygen level. We are very happy with the product and my son does not seem to mind the monitor at all. Worth the price!

For the most part I really like the sock. The camera is very disappointing. I had to buy a night light in order to see my daughter at night. I am now going to have to buy a new baby monitor.

The peace of mind EVERY parent needs!

While pregnant I was looking into the Owlet. Preparing to have my first child I knew I would worry. All of a sudden I gave birth at 29 weeks to a beautiful babygirl. At that point it was a no brainer the Owlet was a MUST! After spending 57 days in the NICU, fully monitored I could not stand the thought of going home with no way to track her heart rate and oxygen. Being a preemie she had episodes known as bradycardia (heart rate would drop, and at times so would her oxygen). I feared she could have a episode while home and I wouldn’t know. She was released in February of 2020. It is now July of 2020 and we have used the Owlet every night! Thankfully I have never experienced a time she needed stimulation. I can NOT picture my life without it! I recommend this to EVERY parent rather you have a preemie or full term baby. Somethings you just never know. It is worth every penny! I have always said you can not put a price tag on my child’s life or my sanity! We have not received any false notifications, it has worked like a charm since day one. We got a few times where there was a placement issue, but she was moving around and it couldn’t pick up for a certain amount of time. A quick adjustment and good to go! I love the fact it track her sleep, and keeps all data stored so if needed we can resort back to inform doctors. It’s truly been our lifesaver! One of the absolute best things ever made! So a HUGE HUGE THANK YOU to the creators!
