I am a mother of 2 boys, ages 7 years and 2 months. I had severe anxiety since my newborn came along and it was so out of the ordinary. Couldn't sleep, worrying constantly about the baby choking, suffocating, SIDS, etc. and it was eating me alive even though I followed all safety advice and precautions to ensure my baby's comfort and safety. This product has seriously calmed my anxiety from the first time I put it on my baby's foot. My only complaint is that I want MORE of it. Including a second set of electronics for those "oh no!" Moments, and providing a smaller, portable base station to bring to daycare, grandmas house, etc. would be so ideal and convenient! However, I sleep more soundly, there have been no false alarms for us, my baby is comfortable and doesn't even notice the sock, and it fits fantastically under all of his clothes. Wonderful product that I recommend to anyone!
Pros: Better sleep!!, Comes with multiple sock sizes, Easy to set up and use, Multiple devices can be used for monitoring, Peace of mind, Small, lightweight materials used
Cons: No second set of electronics - just in case, Only one base station, most suitable for home

I had my daughter at 33 weeks and she was in the NICU for 2 weeks so I ordered the owlet so we could use it when she came home from the hospital. She came home on oxygen so I wanted to be able to monitor her. Once she got off the oxygen having this monitor has given me the peace of mind I need to sleep at night! I LOVE the notifications and how accurate the monitoring is, I would recommend this product to anyone! Sincerely, A NICU baby's mommy

I use my owlet every night and for every nap!! Rarely get a yellow or blue alert, but they weren't false, and easy fixes. I think we have had 3 alerts. It's just amazing! Peace of mind, I sleep better, my son is in his own room. Totally wish this was something I had with my oldest.

Gives me peace of mind but sock was too large for my newborn

This product gives me peace of mind that my baby is safe when she's sleeping. I still make sure to follow all the recommendations for preventing SIDS, but using the Owlet makes me feel like she's extra safe. My only complaint is that the smallest sock was too large for my newborn for the first few weeks. We tried it once every few days to see if she'd grown into it, but the ankle strap was too long until she was about 3 weeks old. This caused the sock to fall off easily, causing false alarms. My baby was 6 lbs 9 oz at birth (25th percentile I think) so she was small but not outside the norm for a newborn. Those first few weeks were when my nerves were the worst with a brand new baby, so it would have really helped if I could have used the Owlet during those weeks. My baby is now 8 weeks old and still has plenty of growing room in the smallest sock, which says it is for 0-1 month olds. I would highly recommend that Owlet make a smaller sock! Those first few weeks are the most nerve wracking for a new parent and are a time when new parents need the extra sleep the most.
Pros: Gives peace of mind, Works well
Cons: Pricey / Poor Value, Smallest sock is too small

Worth the money

Our daughter was born with three holes in her heart. She went straight to the NICU for monitoring and testing so my husband and I decided to bite the bullet and try the Owlet. We received it just a few days after arriving home with our baby. It is our sleep saver! As parents of a cardiac patient we have to constantly watch our baby for excessive sweating, blue coloring around her mouth, and we have to listen to her breathing as sometimes she does stop. Given the above, it's easy to see why sleep didn't come easy for us. My husband and I would take shifts of staying up to watch her. Now at 5 months old she sleeps through the night and so do we! Knowing that we have that in our corner is a god send! Because we've used it since she was just a few weeks old she doesn't mess with it or try to kick it off. It's just become part of her bedtime routine. We would be sleep deprived without it. For us, we couldn't put a price on our daughters life - I would've paid double if need be for the peace of mind this gives us! No complaints here. Read the instructions thoroughly and you shouldn't have any problems. It's a small learning curve but we figured ours out within a few days of trial and error. I highly recommend this - especially if your child also has a heart condition!

Far to many disconnects between the sock, base station and WiFi ( which is only 3 feet from our daughter) We have to unplug the base station multiple times. Each lullaby takes a while to turn off, restart the app etc. ( Making sure we are fully awake) This makes for a hard nights sleep for us all.. That is really a big issue for us. The good side. This reads accurate right along with a hospital monitor. We tested it out for ourselves during two separate stays in the hospital. Our little girl does have medical issues. She is now 2 1/2 still wearing this monitor. Our daughter was sick with a very high fever, during the night her heart rate became very high. Letting us know at a glance we needed to go to the hospital. So glad she was wearing the owlet. The Er sent for a critical care team from Children's hospital to come for her. In addition we have had one read alarm. For keeping me informed on my little girl I would give this 10 stars. For waking me up all the time I would give it 1 start.

I can finally sleep

We had our miracle baby 3 weeks ago after an unexplained stillbirth in a previous pregnancy. Our anxiety and worry was already at an all time high because of loss, but then grew even more when our little one had 3 apneic events and was taken by ambulance back to the hospital on our first night home. After a week long stay in the hospital we came home and immediately purchased the owlet. He wears it every night, and because of that this worried mom can get some rest. It might not be a necessary product according to his doctors, but it definitely makes our lives better. Thank you for this excellent product and the peace of mind we have when he’s wearing it.
