Sock and base=good; App (Android)=very bad

It took me a little while to get comfortable with the fact that the base station isn't dependent on the app - you could make this clearer in your documentation. In any case, the only reason I had any discomfort in the first place is because the Android app has never worked reliably for me (and it would seem a lot of other folks based on online comments). While I appreciate that the app isn't needed for the sock and base station to work, the range of the system is effectively limited without the app meaning I am really only comfortable using the system when baby and base station are in the one room (which is a problem given we are planning on moving baby to his own room soon). With this in mind, I would like to know when the issues with the Android app will be fixed (surely you have an actual target date you are working towards)? As a final note, post-release re-labeling of the app as "beta" is a pretty sad move - you shouldn't have released it in the first place - paying customers shouldn't be doing your QA for you. Needless to say, I don't currently have the app installed on my mobile devices.
Pros: Peace of mind
Cons: App is unusable (which effectively limits range)

I ended up returning it. It constantly gave me sock placement alerts, I ended up waking my daughter up several times trying to replace the sock before I finally gave up. I was so precise in putting the sock on, it worked for an hour or so then the yellow alert came on. When it worked, it was great. It was very frustrating. Returning was easy, customer service was helpful.

Good for newborns up to 1-2 months

Our baby had respiratory issues, so this was an ideal way to monitor oxygen levels, using the same technology they used in the hospital. Putting the sock on and off is not easy, once you get used to it it gets a bit better. We were only able to use the newborn sock. The middle size doesn't fit well, and will give false readings regularly. Plan to use this for 1-2 months, no more.
Pros: Allows oxygen monitoring, High tech, Warning alarm that wakes you up
Cons: Customer service, Difficult to put on, Frequent reading failure / false alarms, Only newborn sock effective, Pricey / Poor Value, Short battery life, Short wireless range

Definitely Gives Peace of Mind

Owlet definitely helps ease my mind when my babe is sleeping. Being able to track her heart rate and oxygen levels gives relief to my anxiety. The sock does tend to slip off at times, even using the smallest size, but we just try to readjust and head back to bed.

Cons: Slips off the foot easily

Love this product. I have been using this for my baby from couple months now. It gives me peace of mind. I love everything about it, have different sizes of socks, baby doesn't get annoyed, gives right reading, give me alerts and the best thing I can check baby's hear rate and oxygen level from anywhere when I'm not at home with her. Our 9 month old is on home oxygen. The owlet has helped alert us when she has pulled it out of her nose and her stats drop. She doesn't notice the sock and there are no cords for her to get tangled in or chew on.

Worth the money

We lost our 1 year old daughter a year ago. When we got pregnant again, it was always in the back of our minds how we can not go through something like that again. After researching different monitors, we bought an Owlet. We have been using nightly for our son and it has been the best purchase. It gives both of us peace of mind, that if something were to happen, we would be alerted sooner. Its very easy to use. If the wifi goes off, it will still alarm. We plan on using this until the socks don't fit him anymore. We have never had a false alarm. No regrets at all, would recommend.

I realy love the peace of mind of knowing my baby's vitals. I think this is overall an excellent product. I do get frustrated, however, when there is a blue or yellow alert and it rings on my cell phone because I'm not physically in the nursery. It takes too long for the app to load and to be able to connect and turn the monitoring off before my baby wakes up. I find this very frustrating. I have an excellent wifi connection and use an up to date iPhone, so this should not be an issue. I'd rather not turn the alarm off in the room because I like being able to hear the alarm on the monitor and on my phone....more peace of mind. But it shouldn't take one minute + to turn off the alarm remotely. Please work on this. Thanks.
