Helps YOU sleep through the night

The first couple of weeks we had no monitor on our daughter and I would wake up with anxiety or fear if she had a longer stretch of sleep. I was constantly checking to make sure if she was breathing. when you are already sleep deprived and stressed that last thing you want is to disrupt the sleep you do get. I tried the Snuza monitor to but decided that I liked the Outlet for my needs best. This product truly gives you peace of mind. Here is what is awesome about this product and suggestions for improvements Pros: -love that is has a different alarm sounds for when the sock falls off or is out of range. I tend to put the sock on a little bit looser and my daughter is a kicker so if she get really worked up it falls off. It's nice to not be jolted out of bed in a panic because you know it's a connectivity issue and not that she stopped breathing. -your baby can sleep in any position or if you hold them to feed/nurse in the middle of the night you don't have to worry about a device poking them in the stomach (snuza) -fun to monitor heart rate/oxygen levels -can connect the base station to a external battery pack for travel -so convienent that the alarm is on your phone in case you are away from the base station also it's a great feature that you can turn it on/off from the app -it's super simple to turn on/off -size is great for travel -pretty darn accurate no false alarms Improvements: -sock falls off sometimes -make the volume ramp up for the yellow and blue alerts -the range of the outlet could be improved. My daughter is now downstairs in her room (we are upstairs) and we have to put the base station outside our room in order to not receive yellow alerts. I think the range is improved in the owlet 2. I bought the owlet 1 a few days before the 2 came out and wish i would have returned It for the 2. I didn't know about the 2 until after my 45 day time period. This device was working fine until recently when i put my daughter in her room. Test the range early.

Worth the peace of mind.

My third son got a cold early on, so monitoring his breathing was important. Knowing what I know now, I wish I had this with my first two sons, and would honestly get the owlet over a regular video monitor. I'd probably try to get with a friend who might be expecting at a later time to split the cost. Also, I wish this could have portable use for when you're traveling. I feel like that's another time I'm constantly checking to make sure baby is breathing.

Great Peace of Mind

At first it took me several days to figure out that the sock size was too big, but once I switched to the newborn size the sock stayed on her foot and did not alarm the device. Love being able to look over and see the green light without having to get up and go over to her crib to check if she is breathing!!
Pros: Easy To Setup
Cons: At first was using the wrong sock size

Love the peace of mind

My daughter is 3 weeks old, I've used her Owlet every night since she came home. It's easy to use and gives me some peace of mind at night when she's asleep. I feel more relaxed and comfortable knowing that she has her Owlet on.

We use the Owlet at night everyday and sometimes during the day for naps. Before we used the smart sock I would wake up in the middle of the night and frantically check to see if my baby was breathing. I would put my hand on her belly to feel for the rise and fall of her breath. Unfortunately I would wake her up sometimes and then spend 30 minutes trying to put her back to bed. My only complaint is that the Velcro isn't very strong and it comes off easily causing an alarm to go off and a yellow light.
Pros: Easy to use, Helps to keep baby safe, Peace of mind
Cons: The Velcro comes loose pretty easy

Overall, my husband and I are very satisfied with the Owlet monitor. It gives us peace of mind, and we haven't gotten a false alarm (a problem run into with other monitors). Initially, we had some difficulty with setting up the proper fit. We followed all instructions, but continually were getting "yellow alarms" which signify a fit issue or that the sock has fallen off. For us, the case was that always the sock had fallen off of our baby. We had trouble getting the Velcro to allow us to pull tighter on the sock. That aside, this sock has given us an abundance of peace of mind. With my first child, I used to wake up several times a night to check on him to ensure he was breathing. I now fall asleep much more easily and do not waken with worry. Thanks Owlet!!!

Cons: Difficult time initially with fit, Received several yellow alarms initially

Really wish I could love this product but there are so many things that don't work. The app takes forever to open and isn't consistent and the sock never stays on my baby's foot. I wake up more from the blue and yellow alarms than my actual child
