Great product for new parents!

I ordered the Owlet 2.0 as a surprise gift for my wife. It's our first little baby and I was curious to see what difference this would even make. She's a nurse and is very in touch with all the data on the app. With that said.....It's just as easy for me to use and understand having never been a nurse. We have had a few false readings, that only happened 1 night for some reason. One thing to remember during the night when you wake up baby to feed is to tap the base station or you will be alarmed by the base station alert and your phone alert as it loses connection. It is a great great product and with the false readings I was reassured to see that if I was ever to have his readings from the sock be abnormal, it immediately points you in the direction of emergency services. If there was an Apple Watch app that would be a huge extra plus to monitor on my wrist while he's taking a nap. Besides that...Can't say enough good things about this. Thanks Owlet!
Pros: Comfortable sock, Easy to use, Great quality app, Long lasting battery, Loud alert when connection is lost, Multiple sizes, User friendly at every level

Such piece of mind

We love our Owlet and use it every night. It is so nice having piece of mind that all with our little one is okay. I have also never loved this more than I did last night. Our little guy is sick with a cold. I could see that his oxygen wasn't as high as normal. It was low 80's so we cleared more out of his nose to get it back up. If not for this we wouldn't have known it was that low. I love having the piece of mind at night that he is okay without having to get up and check on him. I would highly recommend this. The only downside is sock placement can sometimes be difficult to stay so we just put a sock over it.

Worth every minute of sleep

My daughter is a very noisy sleeper. She grunts and moans and makes a lot of sounds at night. I am able to fall asleep without worrying something is wrong because I can easily see her O2 level and heart rate are perfectly normal. She may make some strange sounds, but I know that's just her and not a problem with her breathing. My husband also sleeps better having this as our "security blanket".
Pros: Alerts iPhone even when outside the home, Easy to use, Eliminates nighttime anxiety, Works on home wifi

This has been, by far, the best investment ever made! My son was born with a heart issue and also has difficulty breathing...the alarm has only gone off 2 times since my sons heart surgery and knowing I have it really makes things a little less stressful (I mean little)! I don't depend on it as the only monitoring system for my son, it is an electronic after all! I would recommend it to everyone I know. Thank you Owlet for creating such an amazing device.

Love it-do wish it charted though

We use the owlet every night at bedtime. It's truly a Godsend. My son still has fluid in his chest and has a gurgling sound when he breathes so without this, I'd be afraid he's choking and I'd never sleep. I do wish the battery was more straight forward though. There are mornings I take it off him but forget to plug it up and then it does in the middle of the night. I'm also afraid of overcharging it, but rarely can I ever see the battery life (unless it's low). It always just says "sock disconnected" when it's not... I also wish it had a chart to graph the patterns in his HR and oxygen levels. I feel that would help me know better when he's in a deep sleep or what levels are more abnormal for him. I wish this was a possibility because there are times when I check and his oxygen level is 99 but then 2 mins later it's 94 so I want to know what's more typical for my son and if that much of a drop should concern me. One last thing Ive noticed since the update is sometimes it takes a while to get his reading. I understand when he's wiggling but then I get a screen without any numbers on it for a while...I've attached a picture. Otherwise, I'm pretty happy with this product! I love being able to sleep peacefully knowing the base station will wake me if an emergency arises!

Cons: Battery life isn't clear-usually gives error mes, No chart for me to see patterns, Sound of base turning on sometimes startles baby

I feel like I can sleep!

My daughter is 6 months old. She has several cardiac defects, a small left lung and bronchial malcia of the left bronchi. She is currently oxygen dependent and being a grabby 6-month-old, she often pulls her cannula out of her nose. The owlet lets me know when this happens and very quickly at that. This monitor lets me sleep peacefully because I know it will let me know if something needs my attention. We had a situation in the hospital where my daughter coded. She had a lanrygeal spasm and caused her to stop breathing and her heart to stop. Worst day of my life. Quick action saved her life. Thankfully this happened at the hospital but this drove my decision to get the owlet and I have no regrets. The peace of mind for a parent of a healthy child is wonderful, but for me, a mom with such a medically complex and fragile baby, this has changed my life. This product works better than the pulse ox machines in the hospital. It is quicker and more accurate.

Preemie Twins LOVE Owlet

We purchased two Owlets in preparation for our twins coming home from the NICU. They were born 12 weeks early and we knew when they came home we would need the added peace of mind. They have worn the Owlet almost every night since and we LOVE them! We have had only one 'real' alarm and a few false alarms. The real one actually alerted us that our baby had a cold! He was having trouble breathing while laying in his back and we were able to help clear his nose and add a humidifier.
