DISCLOSURE: This review reflects my experience with and opinion of this product as an actual customer. Note: I received a small incentive for posting my opinion.
I purchased the Owlet Smart Sock 3 a few days after my son was born. It reminds me of the oxygen/heart rate sensor they used in the hospital. It works pretty well, and I trust the data that it is putting out.
My only complaints with the issue are: 1. Fitment. If it is too loose, it will slip off if the baby kicks. If it is too tight, it may be uncomfortable for the baby or cause red markings (I have not experienced these myself).
2. Yellow notifications. These are notifications that the sensor is not on correctly and a reading cannot be picked up. It seems like every time we change the baby's diaper or feed him, we get a yellow notification, which further wakes up the baby, and the other parent. This notification also is triggered when the sensor is off of the base for too long and not on the baby. I feel rushed to get the Smart Sock on ASAP before the notification is triggered. The notification would cause us to undo the swaddle, check the fitment, only to find that it is proper, and wake the baby.
Otherwise, it helps us sleep at night with peace of mind.

This review reflects my experience with and opinion of this product as an actual customer. Note: I received a small incentive for posting my opinion. We found the Owlet when looking for a product to monitor our son’s oxygen levels. He was born with a rare condition and his trachea never fully developed. Most of the time it’s a non-issue but if he gets sick or even the tiniest bit congested it sounds like he has pneumonia. After a 5 day stay in the PICU due to the common cold we became overly cautious and were making trips to the doctor/ER way too often. We were tired of being made to feel as though we were overreacting and that’s where Owlet comes in. Even though he’s nearly out of the age range we still purchased it. I wish I had found this product earlier on to get a little more bang for our buck, as it does come with a pretty hefty price tag. I’m utterly shocked that our incredibly active toddler doesn’t seem to mind it on his foot at all. Not once has he made a real effort to rip it off (which he could with ease). I saw another review that mentioned a constant “wiggling” notification. The only time we get that is when he has it on before in his crib or after he’s woken up and is legitimately walking or crawling around. He tosses and turns all night and we’ve never had an issue with it reading his levels while he’s sleeping. I do wish that it was a bit more user friendly in some aspects such as turning off and adjusting the parameters for notifications. It would be nice if it measured their temperature as well but I’m no scientist or tech whiz so maybe there’s a reason they’re not able to include that as a feature. Overall Owlet has given us the peace of mind we needed to sleep through the night. I’m no longer an anxious wreck, shooting out of bed every two hours to make sure my baby’s still breathing. And a rested mommy is a happy mommy.

I loved using this with my daughter. It gave me great peace of mind. I purchased it on 10/8/2020 and on 10/16/2021 it quit working. The warranty is good for 1 year. Extremely frustrating.

I’ve used this sock every night for the last year. After 1 year the sock still works just as well as the day I bought it. My child spent her first 2 months of life in the NICU and as an ER nurse I was extremely thankful for the continued monitoring. I only encountered two reasons why I didn’t give the product 5 star which are pretty minor overall. First is the app. Readings can be delayed and app isn’t the easiest to set up should you ever need to bring the sock and base for traveling. The second complaint is the range on the sock from the base. My child sleeps in my bedroom which is also where the base is set up. If I move her from my bedroom to say the living room, the base station will alarm with the out of range tune. This is a minor inconvenience for me but could be a bigger one for those whose children sleep in their own rooms. The base station is the alarm and with the lag on the app critical moments could be lost should the worst actually happen.

I got the owlet for my 2 year old once I found out the owlet 3 went up to the age of 5. She is a deep sleeper and snores really loud at night so we were concerned that she might have sleep apnea as the doctor told us to monitor her breathing while she was sleeping. This gave us a piece of mind. Her O2 levels dropped below 90s at time so the doctor recommended to see ENT. Without the owlet we would have not even have known. So having the owlet lets us sleep at night without having to worry so much. Since we got one for my oldest, we also purchased one for our newborn and we love it that we can track her sleep. One negative thing is that sometimes it rings in the middle of the night when it goes out of range or can not connect to the base. Other than that we love it and thanks to owlet we can sleep better at night.

This review reflects my experience with and opinion of this product as an actual customer. Note: I received a small incentive for posting my opinion. Once the Owlet 3 came out and it went up to age 5 we were sold. We got it for our 2 year old and wish we got it sooner. We thought it was great that we could track her sleep. As the nights went on we noticed her O2 levels would dip from the high 90s to the mid 80s and sometimes the low 80s. We even had it alarm for low O2. We brought this up with her doctor and was referred for further testing. We know this is not a medical grade equipment but this definitely helped us get medical care for our oldest. Since we loved it so much we got another one for our newborn and its great to be able to track her sleep and see how much she is sleeping at night. It gives us a peace of mind at night. I would recommend this to anyone. Yes sometimes we have problems with connection to the base or it alarms because the sock fall off. But its worth the money since we get a good nights rest from not worrying.

We have had our owlet for about 3 months now and love it! Easy to setup and use, plenty of useful stats and its a user friendly app too.
I've given 4 stars not 5 only coz we ordered the Owlet sock 3 in mint, but got the mint sensor and the socks are dusty rose 🤷🏽♀️ Also it'd be great if the original setup and care instructional videos were easily accessed within the app, rather than having to search online. Definitely worth every cent for us
