Highly recommend!

I bought the Owlet after my daughter had a choking incident when she was 2 weeks old. We had a hospital grade monitor at first; eventually we were able to turn that in but we still wanted something to give us peace of mind and the Owlet doesn't disappoint. We honestly like it better than the hospital monitor for several reasons - it's very portable (no wires to transport) and easy to use, it monitors oxygen levels (the hospital monitor didn't do this), it doesn't make a horrible noise that wakes up the entire house if it shifts out of place like the hospital monitor did (just a lullaby at a reasonable volume enough to wake you up but not so loud it gives you a heart attack), I can view all the information right from my phone so it's extremely convenient, and the heart rate limitations in the Owlet are exactly the same as the hospital grade monitor. The Owlet definitely gives us peace of mind - I'm very happy with the purchase, and I definitely recommend it to anyone with a baby.

Finally, Some Sleep & Added Piece of Mind!

As a recent first time parent, I was thrown headfirst into the sleepless journey that is looking after a newborn baby. We don't consider ourselves overly worried people, however, the thought of our baby rolling over, getting tangled up in his swaddle, or otherwise having his breathing obstructed was a real concern for us. That is where the Owlet Smart Sock 3 has changed everything. Upon first bringing our baby home, my wife and I found ourselves jumping out of bed at the slightest sound or movement we heard our infant making in his bassinet. With this product, we finally have the peace of mind knowing that there is something there to alert us in the event something goes wrong. The sock tracks the baby's heart rate and oxygen levels on a real time basis and has an alarm (to the tune of "Hush Little Baby") that will go off in the event either category falls below the defined safety thresholds. While thankfully we have not had real any scares, we did test out the feature by removing the sock from our baby's foot and sure enough, the device worked like a charm! You truly can't put a price on piece of mind and it is so nice knowing that there is a mechanism in place to protect our baby boy. The Owlet Smark Sock 3 has saved us some serious shut-eye in instances where we would otherwise find ourselves rushing out of bed at the slightest movement or whimper of our baby. Given how often newborn's rise during the late evening and early morning hours, every extra minute of sleep can feel precious to parents and I am happy to say the Smart Sock has allowed us to sleep quite a bit more than we likely would have without it. As for the actual product and interface, setting up the sock and docking station was extremely straightforward and the app makes it easy to see your baby's readings in real-time. The sock itself is simple to put on, appears to be made of sturdy materials, and doesn't slip off our child's foot. Overall, I can't recommend the purchase of one of these Smart Socks enough, particularly if you're trying to calm your nerves and get every additional second of sleep like my wife and I were.

Peace of mind

My son was born at 34 weeks and spent some time in the NICU. After only ever seeing him monitored 24/7, I was terrified to bring him home without that reassurance. I decided to buy the smart sock the day I brought him home and it gave me such peace of mind. It is a little big for a preemie foot but we are going to try putting a regular sock on over his smart sock to secure it a little more until he grows into it. I know I will be glad to have it in the future if he is sick too. Overall, very happy to have this technology.

Simple and Easy Setup

I bought this a couple months before we welcomed our first born. Like a lot of people, I am sure you are looking for the comfort of knowing that your baby is safe while you tend to other tasks, including sleep. I also sought that comfort and this sock provides that.
The sock did not fit my baby who was born at 37 weeks weighing 5lbs 11 oz, however, I understand it is more of a one sock fits all application which is why it is not meant for smaller babies. I would recommend that Owlet have an option (either for purchase or included in the box) for preemies and smaller babies.

As a first time mom, I would start up all night making sure everything was ok with my baby. Owlet allowed me to sleep with a peace of mind. Wish I would have gotten it sooner
