Game Changer!

The Owlet Smart Sock 3 is an absolute game changer. I had originally looked at buying the Smart Sock 2 last year when I was pregnant with my son, but I was turned off by the slow charging speed: 3-4 hours! I also wanted a smarter device that would sync with my phone and let me monitor my son while I was away at work. Enter the Smart Sock 3 in July of this year – just two months before I had my daughter. We bought this device right after she was born and have been using it at least 22 hours a day for the last three months. The only time we take it off her foot is to charge it while she’s awake and in our arms. I love how quickly the Owlet 3 sock charges! I often take her sock off for 3 AM feedings and once or twice additionally during the day after naps to top off the charge and have never had an issue with the battery running too low or taking too long to charge. This new model can charge an extra 8 hours in just 20 minutes. Even a full charge takes just 90 minutes – although quickly charging after every other few naps has been all we’ve needed. I’ve also never had to worry about her missing out on wearing the sock due to laundering (the box includes one left and one right sock for babies under 12 pounds and an additional left and right sock for babies over 12 pounds). But hands down my favorite feature is the app. In addition to the section tracking my baby’s heart rate and oxygen levels, there’s also a tab which records her sleep patterns, and another tab which provides insights on her development based on her age. It is so reassuring that I can go on a socially distanced trip to pick up food or groceries and be able to immediately see how my baby is doing while back at home with her dad and brother. I highly recommend this sock and am so glad that we purchased it!

Amazing Peace of Mind, Alarm is Quick

We love our Smart Sock 3rd generation so much, it helps us sleep more soundly knowing an alarm will go off if the baby's oxygen or heart rate is problematic. It is also very useful to be able to track sleep and trends. My only suggestion for improvement is the sensitivity of the alarm when the sock is removed from the base. It was a HUGE bonus to be able to use my HSA (health savings account) card to help pay for the device.

You can't buy peace of mind, but this is close

This is great for some peace of mind at night. Knowing all the things to look out for it helps to also have a heads up on when to check for any sign of distress in my newborn who has a few CHDs and just got open heart surgery. Her normal stats do fall into the normal range of the owlet monitor but this is not the case for all babies with medical needs. I do wish the heart rate alert range was smaller. 60 is incredibly low and being on beta blockers I would want to know before her heart rate was above 220 to be a little more proactive. I love the fact that it tracks sleep habits which has helped me learn her ever changing schedule. Overall I absolutely recommend this sock to those who want a little extra reassurance at night.

Peace of mind

I bought the owlet sock when my daughter was 2 months old and having breathing concerns and low oxygen. I was so nervous that I would not know she was in distress, especially at night. The owlet sock has been an extra set of eyes and ears and gives me confidence that it will alert me when she needs help! I have had no false alarms but it has alerted me 2 x when her oxygen levels dipped too low. I am one thankful momma!

I don’t think I could sleep without the Owlet. Gen 3 has a smaller base and a new sock - both of which are great. I wish there was a smaller sock for tiny babies - my boy came home at 6.4 lbs and the sock is a little big on him.

Great peace of mind!

I bought this after a good friend of mine said it helped calm her nerves while her newborn slept. I just had my 4th child and postpartum hit me hard! This product has been a huge relief for my anxiety and I love that I can be on the opposite end of my house and it will still connect to the base. I also love that the sensor and sock can be washed! So thankful for the owlet smart sock!
