Peace of mind for Mom and Dad

We had an original Sock for our first child that worked well once we got the hang of it. When we found out we were having another baby, one of the first things we did was look for the newest generation of the Owlet. We bought the Gen 3 Sock and it has been well worth the money. The sensor is much less finicky than the original was, and charging the sock is way easier (and the battery lasts longer). Range seems to be mildly improved, but more importantly, the app is much improved and we can see her history in the charts. Combined with the Owlet Cam which we got later, this the full package to help mom and dad sleep well at night knowing our little one is okay.

Everything about this sock is awesome! The fabric of the sock is so soft and comes with 4 different sizes. The base sings a song when something goes wrong and the app is very user friendly! Highly recommend the 3rd generation sock!

I love my owlet smart sock 3! I only wish it came in pink. It’s super convenient and functional. If you’re hesitant on getting this, go ahead and order it. I wish I got it with my first born but I’m glad I have it now!

Amazing peace of mind after a NICU stay!

We bought the smart sock a few days before going into preterm labor at 34 weeks. After a short stay in the NICU I have been so relieved to have this to ease my worries at night! I would like to see a smaller sock available as for him it can be hard to get it snug enough (he is only 5lbs though). Overall this has been the best purchase we made!

We got a he Owlet for your newborn and love it. We were alerted for low O2 and high heart rate, we repositioned her and the alert went away. I wish it was 5G compatible. The only thing we have an issue is the sock staying on her foot or staying in place when she get mad and kicks her feet.

First off, I do not normally take the time to write a review, and I certainly wouldn’t take the time (the precious, precious time) as a new father of twin girls to write one if I didn’t truly believe that others needed to know what I’m about to say.
You’re a new father, congrats, me too. You say you’re not sleeping much at night..been there. You say you’re worried about weather or not your newborn(s) are sleeping adequately, breathing well, generally doing alright. Wait, when was the last time you heard a chirp or saw some movement?! Better go check on the little one(s)..Just one more time, then maybe you’ll get some sleep. That was me in a nutshell. Night after painful night. Sleeping with one eye open and a hand on the bassinet. Always ready.
The owlet socks couldn’t come soon enough. The socks came packaged better than most apple products (if you’re in to that sort of thing), and the app that owlet put out is simple and elegant. Excruciating easy onscreen instructions all but guarantee that even the most technologically inept individuals will have no problems getting the sock set up.
The sock itself is soft and voluptuous. I thought for sure that is was Italian calfskin leather, better than my hand made shoes from Milan. Before you call PETA, I think it’s actually a synthetic material, but I was very pleased with the quality and feel of the sock. The girls wear them without any fuss and I have not seen any undo stress or signs of discomfort from either of them.
The charging/base stations are small and easily feel at home my nightstand. If you can charge an Apple Watch, you can charge the sock. The magnetic wireless charging is well implemented and the socks themselves charge fast.
Overall, this would be a solid recommend for any new parent. My wife and I sleep better at night (which we didn’t really believe could be a thing after reading these very same sentiments in other reviews). But the cliche is true, technology driven piece of mind. If the girls are having any issues, the socks alert us. We have already had one red alarm, one of our daughters was chocking on some thick mucus, and the sock woke us up and we were able to correct the issue quickly. Did the sock save her life? Would we have woken up? I want to think that we would have caught it, but she wasn’t making any noises while she was choking. The sock very likely saved us that night.
Sure, the socks are expensive, I had to buy two, and I never got a discount because the last thing I want to do is have to do any more work to secure a small discount while fighting for every free minute I can get as to prevent my house from falling in to shambles, but they are worth it. Let me say that again, no matter what the cost, the ability to monitor in real time the status of my girls, especially while sleeping, is a game changer. Get the darn smart sock, save yourself the stress, there will be enough of that to go around. One of the best decisions I’ve ever made!
