Best money spent on baby

Heard about the Owlet monitor when our babe was two weeks old, now he's shy of four months and we couldn't be more pleased. Dad loves the fact that he can check on him when he's on the road and he can tell when he's awake in the middle of the night and is able to call or text without waking either of us. We only use it for bedtime and have had a handful of false alarms, they've all been due to the sock being put on incorrectly though. Our sock did start to rip from the monitor inside, called customer care (super friendly!) and they sent a new one! I've read reviews on Facebook with people thinking this is supposed to prevent SIDS or other tragedies, while it isn't going to prevent anything, you should be able to intervene if something were to occur. We love this thing! Definitely worth the money!

We use the owlet every naptime and at bedtime. It's is sooo easy to use , we had no trouble setting it up and it arrived with th great directions. I think it took about 10 minutes to set up once we opened the box. The app is easy to read and I love that we can check on our son easily. We wish the monitor had been available with our first son!

only thing i would like is if an alarm does go off to get a report of why it happened. in the middle of the night when i hear the alarm, i do not look at the app to see what is causing the alarm i just make a run for the room to check on baby.

I use the product all the time. Especially when my child sleeps. However we have gotten several red alerts but have no historical data to reference to see how the child heartbeat increased over what period of time. Product previously promised to detect roll over, skin temperature and provide data that can be presented to your pediatrician. Current product does not do this. It only provides instantaneous readings for the child's heart rate and blood oxygen level. If you turn on the app after the child starts moving you will not get a reading for these two values or know what the values were before movement began. I understand that presenting historical data is a feature that is being worked on right now but should be pretty simple and not very controversial given the fact that the data is published on the screen for the user to see. Not sure why it's taking so long to implement this feature at a minimum as a visual display on screen or better yet as a file that can be sent to an email.
Pros: Battery charge lasts 12 hours when base is close, Gives peace of mind that child is ok, Sock appears comfortable to newborn
Cons: Bluetooth range is effectively one room only., Can't record baby's skin temp; previous promise, Cannot extract data from device., Cannot review history in app., Red alerts don't show you values on notification

Favorite purchase for my baby, hands down. I wasn't planning on buying this for my baby, but turns out I was really stressed that things would go wrong when she was sleeping. I ordered it when she was about 3 weeks old and have never looked back! LOVE IT. It gives me peace of mind, especially when she gets sick or is running a fever. I don't feel like I have to stress and check on her thousands of times throughout the night. Very easy to use, easy to set up, excellent features.

Amazing Product

I know for legal reasons and for fear of lawsuits they have to say this is not a medical device. Well this device is pretty close because we just left the ER and her levels are spot on with the medical devices in the hospital. Our baby has Apert and one of the side effects is Apnea. This lets us know when her levels drop so we can go wake her up. People that say it's too pricey probably have healthy babies. When you don't this is amazing. If your baby has chronic breathing issues then I'd suggest a sleep study and get your insurance to approve oxygen, a hospital grade pulse oximeter and a CPAP. If your child is strong but you worry I'd definitely recommend this. We love it.

Mi owlet won connect to the wifi. I bought this so I can move my baby to his own room, now I can only use the device in the same room the baby is in, so it not of much use.
