I have the smart sock 2 and I love it. It gives me so much piece of mind. I got it 3 years ago with my first son and was finally able to sleep. Now my newborn second son is wearing it. I recomend it to everyone. I do with it was able to tell body temperature. It's so hard to know if your baby is hot or cold. I feel like I'm either over or under dressing my babies. That would be the only thing I would add to it. Otherwise love this product!!

Needs external monitor option

Everything about the Owlet is awesome, besides the fact that there isn’t at least the option to purchase an external monitor. Even when my phone or iPad is plugged into the charger all night with the app running, it will run down the battery. It’s fine for naps throughout the day; the convenience of the feed on my phone is beneficial then, but I’d love to have an external monitor for overnights to avoid waking up with a low battery and risking losing the feed overnight.
All other features on the Owlet are beyond awesome! I love the comfort of knowing my baby is safe and sound with the heart rate and oxygen monitoring.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love it! Great Design!

After using the smart sock 2 briefly as a hand me down, we decided to purchase the Owlet Smart Sock 3. While the function is primarily the same, the design of the 3 is a huge improvement over the 2. The ability to charge the sock on the base without having to plug the sock in is a significant upgrade.
We love being able to track our sons vitals as well as his sleep patterns.

Love this!!

We bought this for our baby who was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect, it helps us feel more comfortable when he sleeps knowing we can monitor his sleep activity and get an alert if something were to be wrong. This gives us the peace of mind we were looking for!

We received this as a baby shower gift and I love the magnetic charging for it. Our daughter was hospitalized in November with rsv her oxygen levels dropped to the 80 percentile and I am so happy we received this for peace of mind!

I love the smart sock three, since I have been using it I have had peace of mind when my newborn is sleeping & better sleep quality for myself knowing I don’t have to worry as much as I did before I purchased. I recommend this for all moms but especially first time moms such as myself!

Must have for nicu babies

My NICU twins came home a few days ago and I’m so glad to have the Owlet! After being used to having the babies hooked up to monitors 24/7, it’s nice to have something as back up to alert us if something were to go wrong. I don’t think I would be able to sleep or have relative watch babies without it! I also love how quickly it charges! A nice feature for 4th gen would be if the sock itself made a noise, so anyone taking care of baby could be alerted without moving the base. And also if it could track the baby’s temperature. Not sure if it’s possible- but would be nice!

Peace of mind

I bought the smart sock 3 for my newborn son a few weeks ago. I am a first time mom and suffered from postpartum anxiety bad and couldn’t sleep worrying about my sons breathing. This product has not only given me a peace of mind but has allowed me to sleep better knowing I will be alarmed if vital signs drop. It’s very easy to use and set up. I would recommend 5/5!
