The data this provides is awesome. Our son had low oxygen during birth so we purchased to ensure there would not be any issues moving forward. We now have the confidence that if there are any we will know about it!

Must Have Baby Product

We’ve had the Owlet for only 5 nights and I don’t know how I lived without it! I wish this was available when I had my other kids. It’s more high tech and precise than I expected. We love that we can get a glance at her heart, oxygen and sleep patterns every night. The charging dock is so small and sleek. You can barely notice it on my nightstand. We were originally going to forego purchasing this product, we figured we did without it for other kids, did we really need it? The answer is yes. It gives us more peace of mind, especially because our daughter was having PACs in the womb (heart skipping a beat). I have no doubt this product has saved lives.

If you want some peace of mind...

You should really consider buying this sock. It may not be perfect, and to be honest, nothing out there truly is perfect. My wife and I purchased this sock right after we had a scare with our 1 month old daughter appearing to have stopped breathing. We wanted to be able to sleep through the night without being in a constant state of panic whether or not she is breathing. The owlet sock 3 does a great job giving you up to date heart rate and oxygen level readings, provided you have the sock positioned correctly. We like the history feature of the app which gives you a graphic timeline of readings from the previous nights. We also like the ease of charging the sock wirelessly with the base. The only knocks we would give it would be the distance between the base and the sock is limited and positioning the sock just right to get accurate readings can be a bit difficult. Despite a couple flaws, if you want to have some peace of mind while you and your baby sleep, purchase this sock, you’ll be happy you did.

Peace of mind

I considered buying this product before my daughter was born but decided not to, thinking it was excessive. I wish I had— she ended up having issues with low oxygen concentrations and we would’ve no doubt figured it out sooner had we been using an owlet. Regardless, once she was put on supplemental oxygen our pediatrician recommended this to monitor her and it has been a fantastic way to be sure she is getting the oxygen she needs and provide peace of mind while we sleep. The only reason I subtracted one star is because the base station needs a strong WiFi network to communicate with the app, you can’t easily utilize the whole system when traveling to hotels and while in the car. I’d recommend this to anyone who is on the fence about whether or not it’s worth it.

My husband and I are very pleased with the Owlet Monitor. We just had our first baby and the fact that we cannot only see but here our daughter sleep is extremely comforting. The quality of the video is outstanding and we couldn’t ask for a better product to monitor our daughters heart rate and oxygen level. This definitely helps control my nerves and anxiety.

I wasn’t 100% sure about this product, even as it arrived in the mail, but after using it for the past week I can confidently say it has been worth the purchase. I have not had any alerts or alarms as of yet, but I can tell you that it has really eased my nighttime anxiety while my daughter sleeps… I feel like I get more restful sleep knowing that she is OK. I also purchased the camera, which has also been great. It’s nice to see the temperature in the room and have two way audio.

Absolutely the best peace of mind!

My husband and I decided early on in our pregnancy that independent sleeping for our baby was important to us. Not only that, but our baby girl is formula fed, so we would be getting up to make bottles in the night anyway...it just made sense to have her in her crib from the start! The Owlet Smart Sock & Camera is the ONLY thing that has let us sleep through the night as our baby girl has, especially being in her own crib! To not wake up in a panic those first few times she slept through the night has been such a relief, & it's all thanks to the Owlet. Our daughter just turned 5 months old & wears her sock to bed every night. The camera quality is outstanding, and the sock monitoring her heart rate and oxygen levels is the absolute best peace of mind! I did a lot of research before purchasing & spoke to several friends who have also used the Owlet...I know there are quite a few reviews/mentions of false alarms and trouble with the sock fitting. I will say we have only ever had one false alarm while my husband was feeding her, and I do believe it was because we didn't have the sock on quite right. She was showing no signs of distress, but was wiggling around quite a bit. We reset the sock and put it back on her foot and have never had another false alarm since. Our daughter was also only 5lbs 9oz when she was born. The sock starts at 6lbs, so yes, we did have trouble with it fitting her foot in the beginning and quite a few times where the alarm that it couldn't register a reading would go off....however, we just put an extra sock on her foot, and then her footie PJs and that seemed to help. So, if there are instances of these kinds of issues, based on our experience, I don't believe it's a defect in the product, but rather an issue with the sock fitting properly. I would recommend this product to every parent 5 times over, especially parents who are prioritizing independent sleep and plan on having their babies in their cribs from the beginning! The peace of mind it brings is worth every single penny!
