I did not have this with my first son, and as much separation anxiety I had about putting him in his own room, I so wish I had. I purchased this fairly early in my recent second pregnancy and I am so glad I did. My son had to go to the NICU when he was born and had trouble maintaining his oxygen levels. When he was released I honestly think the owlet was the only reason I felt safe enough to sleep because I knew I would be alerted if anything went wrong with my baby. This is much higher quality than anything like it on the market. I highly recommend this product, especially if your baby came into the world with troubles like mine did! No matter the case, it could save your babies life. Who doesn't want that reassurance?

Peace of mind is priceless

I bought this when my daughter was 6 months old and had transitioned out of the bassinet into her crib...but I was sleeping on an air mattress in her room. The only way I would leave her room (and save my back!) was with the owlet. It took a couple nights to get the placement right therefore we had a few false alarms but once I learned proper placement I have been very happy with the product. Definitely recommend.

A must-have for every parent

At 4 days old, my second child had a choking scare (on her spit up) -- and I ended up rushing her to the ER at 3am (diagnosed with GERD a couple weeks later). Every night after, I was constantly checking her breathing and terrified to put her down for even a couple minutes. One very late night, I was doing the usual -- browsing Facebook with my hand on her stomach to feel her breathing when I saw an ad for the Owlet sock and I decided to buy it right then and there. I am so glad I did.
I am absolutely in love with this product. Beyond that the peace of mind it offers, it's also such a handy parenting tool that I believe is on par with any other new baby health purchase -- thermometer, nasal aspirator, nail clippers... OWLET! Monitoring oxygen, heart rate and sleep, the Owlet is essential. She is now 3 months old, and I've been able to analyze her sleeping patterns with the Owlet to set a good bedtime routine. When I need to leave the room or tend to my other daughter, I love being able to check the app on my phone to see if she's still sleeping soundly and to make sure she's doing okay. It's just an amazing sense of security -- like checking temperature with a thermometer. It's simply essential.
I recommend this product whole-heartedly.

We bought this for our second child and I wish we would have for the first! The smart sock gen 3 is amazing, the charging is super fast and the sock is amazing! We sleep so much better every night knowing if something is wrong we will be alerted!

Easy to Setup for Our Second Set is Twins.

We bought two of the smart sock 3s for our preemie twin girls that were coming in a couple of days. The socks were super easy to set up and my husband downloaded and installed the app and got it connected before our babies came home the next day. The socks worked well to give us the information we needed on our girls as they slept each night. If I could change one thing I would suggest that owlet create a preemie sized sock as my girls came home at 4lbs and a couple of ounces. Otherwise the sock worked great to keep us informed on our girls and give us a peace of mind at night.

Peace of mind!

I am a nurse and work in mother baby taking care of mothers and infants. My daughter was born pre-mature at 35 weeks and I had a c-section, so it was very difficult getting up and down to check on my daughter in her bassinet. The owlet gave me great peace of mind knowing that she was okay, and I would get a notification if something was out of the norm. Not only that, at 1 week old she was diagnosed with the flu. For a solid 2 weeks, she was sick with drainage and congestion. Knowing that I had the monitor so I could check her oxygenation levels was priceless. Thank you owlet!

The Anxiety Solution We All Need

I had so much anxiety about moving my daughter to her crib and not being right by her side at bedtime anymore; however, since we have the owlet smart sock 3, virtually all of that anxiety is gone. Live readings of her heart rate and oxygen levels that are linked directly to my phone assure me that she is sleeping safely and the alert system is loud enough to wake us up no matter how deeply we’re sleeping!

Great when it works

I’m a little disappointed in all of the issues we have had with the owlet. It was not easy to set up due to the app not being very user friendly. We finally were able to fix it and when the owlet is working, it works great! However, it frequently loses wifi and we’re constantly trying to troubleshoot it. I understand user error with sock placement but it shouldnt lose WiFi connection to the base sporadically when going from room to room.
I would recommend this to a friend!
