Peace of Mind

I absolutely love the Owlet as it provides peace of mind when my newborn is sleeping. It allows me to rest and recover from a c-section. The sock is soft and easy on put on my baby girl. Set up was also quick and easy. The only issue I have is with the app. Once I open the app to check my daughter's readings, it shuts down and closes out. I do not know if this is an issue with the app or the phone. I hope to get it resolved soon.

Best baby item I have ever bought

I've been using the owlet now for 4 months. I use it every single night and I take it everywhere I go that I stay overnight at. I have not had any issues with it at all. The alarm has gone off a few times and each time it's been an error on my part. Now that I have had this for several months and have experienced just how much weight has been lifted off my shoulders with the amount of anxiety I had in the beginning, I can easily say that I would have paid double for this thing. I think this is one of the best things a new mom could have. I will use this till it physically won't fit my daughter any more and I will be sure to use it with my next. The customer service is the best customer service I have ever dealt with. They truly want to help fix any issue and will go to any length to make sure any error is corrected. I really wish I was more financially stable where I could buy one as a gift for every baby shower I go to!
Pros: Best customer service, Easy setup, Piece of mind, Still works without internet, Vitals screen stays on all night
Cons: Newborn sock stretches out, Velcro wears out

Love that this device helps keep my little one safe and allows me peace to sleep at night. I wish that the alarm for low oxygen/high heart rate was different from disconnection of sock to base and sock removal from infant, cannot tell you how fast my heart rate gets when I hear the alarm at night and then become frustrated when it is just because the sock signal became disconnected from the base. I wish that the base could be outside of my baby boy's room, the alarm does wake him up if it goes off, even just 15 feet would allow it to be in the hallway where it would not wake him up in event of false alarm. I also wish that the base was able to be charged and not require to be plugged into a power source. This way if we go camping or he is napping at someone else's home I don't have to take everything with me, just the sock and base. Overall this is a great device that provides me comfort knowing that my child is safe, but could use some improvements.
Pros: Alerts with calm melody, Easy to use, Provides peace of mind, Reacts quickly
Cons: Android app has some bugs, Base must be plugged into a power source, Base must be within about 8-10 feet of sock, Same alarm for all alerts

I love this sock!! Use it all the time. This helps me sleep at night I'm usually up and down all night until I used this sock. Finally a great night's sleep. I love the app when I'm at work and my wife is home I can still see how she is doing. I would highly recommend this to every parent

I'm very disappointed with the Owlet. I was so excited for this product after bringing home my first baby. I set it up as directed, using the step by step instructions provided by the app. When I used it on my baby, it was cool when it actually worked, but typically it had connectivity issues. I started with the base station in my room. I thought it might be too far from the baby, so I started putting it directly next to the baby's crib. Every 15 minutes or so, the blue light would flash and the very loud musical alarm would sound, waking up my baby. This alarm indicates a connection issue but my wifi was working perfectly as usual. As a new first time mom, my sleep is precious. I was awoken half of the nights I used this product, terrified my baby wasn't breathing, for no reason. Complete waste of money and ended up causing MORE anxiety, not a peace of mind as promised. If my friends ask, I will most certainly advise them against this product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I take normal safety precautions when my baby sleeps, but having that extra piece of mind when it comes to knowing his heart beat is normal and he is breathing properly is amazing. It is easy to put on, doesn't seem to bother him so it works well. I love the different alerts/alarms it has as well. You don't want to confuse your childs medical issue with a loose sock or a disconnected base. Etc.

I love this product. I don't know what I would do without it. My son was a preemie and it was really scary having him in the hospital, but they always had a monitor on him to make sure his pulse and oxygen levels were normal. Although I was so happy to have him home, I was terrified putting him to sleep for the first few nights. This monitor gave me so much reassurance, I could sleep knowing he was okay. I highly recommend it to any nervous parents. The only issue I have is that it doesn't record the numbers, so if you get a red alarm (which for us has only been one false alarm in 3 months) you don't know what was wrong, if anything.
Pros: Convenient to use, Easy to set up
