Nights where no alarms but it did not monitor

I loved the idea of this product. We bought it because we had a premature baby with some minor complications. We have found we cannot see our daughters info most nights as the app is not working properly, so when we want to know how she is doing as far and lungs and heart, we can’t see it. Also, there will be chunks of data missing from the night where she was not monitored and no alarm as went off to alert us of this. Last night she went unmonitored for 90% of the night with no alarms going off. We cannot trust this device. Also, the smallest sock did not fit our preemie until she was two months old.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Modern app and stylish cam

It came in the cutest packaging and the cam itself is compact and stylish. I love the magnetic base the cam sits on as you can have the angle any way you want that naturally wouldn't be possible. It was easy to set up with wifi and is good quality. It is set up with a profile for your child and shows temperature and if I had an owlet sock it would connect all that information on the same viewing.
Good sound and visual quality and came with wall bracket and cable coverings. The only drawback is that you would have to have the app open to have continual monitoring whereas if it could notify you outside the app that it picked up motion or sound detection that would make it perfect."

Doesn’t work when needed and bad support

This device only works when the baby is still, if he or she is moving, struggling to breathe the device won’t alert you because of their movement.
If your device starts having issues at night you are out of luck, there is no night support which is appalling since their device is heavily relied on at night.
They recently updated their software and the owlet does not work, maybe it’s their way to force parents to buy the cam or a new sock/device.

Love it except the battery life

I really wish that in this day and age the battery life would last longer that if/when unplugged it didn’t lose its battery life when the app isn’t even turned on . I wish I could charge it and bring it downstairs (when i remember to grab it) where I put the babies pjs on usually but mostly so I can have it charged and can take it with me places so when I put the babies pjs on while out i can have it on his foot already and he falls asleep I can just out him in his crib and turn the app on.

Absolutely recommend the owlette. My grandsons oxygen dropped in the middle of the night and if it hadn’t been for the alarm on the owlette, I’m not sure he would be here today. ❤️ Thank you

Great peace of mind!

I bought this before my daughter was born and used it every night for 6 months. It especially helped calm my nerves when she was sick and had a stuffy nose. I could see her oxygen levels were great and she was breathing okay. I am so thankful for owlet otherwise I don’t think I would have gotten any rest those first few months. Also after 6 months the smart sock had issues charging and they sent me a new monitor free of charge. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Great product

I’ve been using the owlet sock since my son got out of the NICU and it gives me great comfort. My only complaint would be the app doesn’t show the battery percentage of the sock when it’s plugged in. It would be nice to be able to check if the sock is fully charged without having to go to the base and unplug it before looking.

I only wish I’d had it right when my son was born. It’s the only thing that let me get some kind of sleep without worrying as much. Amazing product.
