Amazing peace of mind

My baby girl has worn the sock every night since we have been home from the hospital. It gives me peace of mind each and every night. It has helped me sleep while she was sick, teething, or just any other time knowing she was monitored. I wish I had it with all of my children!

I love my Owlet so much! With my other children I never slept because I was constantly afraid something would happen to them while they slept. Growing up, my best friend’s mother lost a child to SIDS and it has always caused me so much anxiety. Having the Owlet with this baby has made me feel so much safer and allowed me to finally be able to sleep while the baby sleeps. I highly recommend this product!

Peace of mind

I’ve had this since coming home from the hospital and as a first time mom it has brought me so much peace! We moved our little one into her own room after two weeks because I couldn’t sleep with her in our room. The owlet is the only reason I was comfortable with the move!

Great sleeps

I’m on my second kids using the sock and I thinks it’s even better this time around. The app is amazing and had really good info. With my first kid we struggle making sure the sock was placed the right way, so it would give us a lot of warning but after 3 weeks when she chunked up it was better. With the decks. Kid we knew how to place it better so we didn’t experience that at all. This should be a must with every new kid.

Good - But Not Perfect

My mom was pretty insistent we spend the money to purchase an owlet sock for our first little one. I wasn't convinced, but she said we'd have more peace of mind and get better sleep. I have to say she was 100% correct. The owlet has allowed my husband and I to sleep soundly through the night. We have security knowing we'll be alerted if their is an emergency. In my opinion, the sock is worth the occasional frustrations to know my little one is sleeping safely. Speaking of frustrations, I've observed four main draws backs to the sock. First, the fabric material that houses the sensor is not sturdy. Our sensor has poked a hole through the material on the size 1, 2, and 3 within two months of being used. This is frustrating, because the replacements are not cheap. Second, we've gotten quite a few false yellow alerts. Even when we've gotten out of bed to double check everything is positioned properly, we will continue to get yellow alerts. It is frustrating to be woken up for nothing. Third, the light around the rim of the owlet base is TOO BRIGHT. The idea is to have the owlet in the room where you sleep, which makes sense. What does not make sense is having a blindingly bright light around the entire rim of the base. As an adult, I don't need a built in night light. I like to sleep in the dark. It is so bright, I eventually wrapped electrical tape around it. Luckily, this did not interfered with the function of the base unit. The fourth issue, is probably my biggest complaint with the entire setup. The app is SLOW and GLITCHY. I can't tell you the number of times I get a notification saying, "The app isn't working, but don't worry the base station is still monitoring your child." The app needs a serious overhaul. Thankfully, as the app constantly reminds me, it is totally unnecessary to the functionally of the sock and base. Overall, I like the owlet and the peace of mind it brings and I would recommend it to my friends; however, it could use a few improvements.

Slept like a baby

For the first few months of my sons life I was waking up every hour or so like a neurotic 1st time parent to check and make sure everything was all right. Realizing that was not a sustainable path we found the owlet help us get sleep. It was amazing! Super easy to use and worked like a charm. The only reason I’m not rating it at 5-stars is because each of the last four nights the low oxygen alarm has gone off so we run into the kids room and everything appears to be fine so I’m not sure if it’s a big in ours or what but besides the last few nights this thing is amazing!

I love the sock but

Honestly I love the sock so much but as a Nurse I think that they should have the alarm go off when oxygen levels get lower than %88. Waiting until %80 is way to long and can lead to serious problems if oxygen levels get that low.
Please consider updating that to make sure our babies stay safe.
