this monitor uses the hospital "red light" technology that our baby had when she was in the NICU for 2 months. we read the hospital monitors to manage her oxygen and pulse, we couldn't imagine how we were going to sleep at night once we got her home from the NICU. Owlet saved us, it allowed us to finally sleep with peace of mind. xox

From Close Call to Peace of Mind

When my son was 2 weeks old, I woke up to a blue face. I quickly grabbed my baby and he began to breath again. Within 5 minutes of the incident, my owlet was bought and anxiously awaited! Since the day it arrived, I've found peace of mind knowing that the owlet is monitoring him in times that I may not be so lucky to wake up and catch him breathless. We LOVE this product!

As parents we constantly worry how our kids are doing. This device just gives you that extra peace of mind knowing your baby is comfortably sleeping and you don't have to wake up every 10 minutes to check on them.

Such a great product! We have had almost no troubles out our Owlet and when we did have a problem with it charging, customer service took care of the problem right away. Never have excessive yellow or blue alerts and only one false red alert (rather have a false than real) and that was because I hadn't cleaned the sensor after using lotion on my son's foot. My son has showed absolutely no discomfort from using it. The Owlet has been such a blessing and probably saved both myself, my husband, and my son lots of sleep. It is reassuring to wake up in the middle of the night and see that green glow. It has helped a lot when my son had RSV and we could monitor his oxygen levels. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Our baby is two and a half months old and we have been using the Owlet sock since she was two weeks old. We would have started using it right away had we known about it sooner. She was experiencing silent choking episodes in the hospital which continued a few weeks after birth. Since we didn't get the Owlet right away we had her on 24 hour watch. Now, with the security of the Owlet, we are able to sleep when she sleeps and have peace of mind knowing that it will alert us if she is in distress. Granted, it does not prevent choking or suffocating but helps in identifying when these things are happening.
Pros: Comfortable for baby, Easy setup, Peace of mind
