Caught my sons heart problem early diagnosis thanks to Pwlet

Can not say enough good things about the Owlet monitor!!! Our son was diagnosed with SVT which is a heart arrhythmia. The owlet alarm is what sent us to the emergency room, because of the alarm (we got a high heart rate alarm after he got upset in the middle of the night) we were able to early diagnose him skipping the part where he would get really sick, stop eating, loose weight (I would have probably stopped nursing thinking it was a problem with my milk) it could have caused permanent damage to his heart and how well it squeezes. This product has never given us a false alarm and my son is now 11weeks old. When we were in the hospital for a week it was so neat to see that the owlet had been giving us proper heart rates and oxygen levels keeping up with all the hospital equipment!!! Feel free to ask any questions but I highly recommend this device it truly is peace of mind!!!

We purchased the owlet because our family member lost their son to SIDS. We wanted to take every precaution for our son. Today it saved his life! We were napping and the Owlet began to go off, HIGH Heart Rate was the reason. I listened to his heart with a stethoscope and discovered it truly was beating out of control. We called 911 and he was in a potentially life threatening cardiac rhythm. He was treated and the arrhythmia was fixed. Thank you Owlet for this amazing tool that helped to save our little guys life today!

Literally saved her life

My daughter was born at 38 weeks perfectly healthy with no concerns. We were sent home quickly from the hospital due to both of us being in great health. She is my first so we opted to be safe and purchase the owlet. Shortly after bringing her home we made the best purchase of our lives. The first few days we struggled with sock placement but finally got it just right. That night the alarm went off that her oxygen level was under 80%. I immediately rushed to check on her and she had no color change, was alter and responsive. The next day I decided to try the sock while she napped, again her values were low. I called me doctor and we were rushed to an appointment. After an oxygen test at our pediatrician we were sent to children hospital. Our daughter was diagnosed with infant periodic breathing and placed on oxygen 24/7. She is now off the oxygen and doing well, she will continue to wear the owlet for peace of mind. This product potentially saved the life of my little girl and I’m forever thankful.

Saved my baby's life!

Owlet is not a medical device, it was never intended to take the place of a Dr, nurse, or healthcare facility. Now that I have said that. My daughter was 4 weeks old. I woke up to feed her and I laid her down on her back. I went back to bed as it was about 5am. At 5:55am I was in a deep sleep when suddenly my owlet was wailing RED my phone was alarming as well, because I had the app. I thought my baby had just kicked the sock off. I silence the phone and went to her bassinet. Now I'm a trauma nurse by trade. I have been a trauma nurse for 17yrs. I panicked! My baby face was a deep cherry color and her lips were blue! All of my years of training and experience went out the window. My daughter was dying before my eyes. Long story short she was silently choking. I grabbed her and vigorously pat and rubbed her back causing her to let out a cry, but she was still not breathing. After a hospital stay and showing the Doctors at the children's hospital in my city (her O2sat was 62 her heart rate was 80 which are abnormal for a baby) my Dr. Said "it was a great thing that you had the Owlet, or you would have slept through this event." This is worth every penny. Note: it does not work of you dint put it on the baby foot lol...please use it when you buy it, and make sure it fits properly. My family thanks Owlet!

My Favorite Monitor

I'm a crazy person and have tried just about every kind of monitor available for our new daughter. She's our first, so I haven't had the opportunity to really find what I like until now. I used an AngelCare under-mattress mat monitor, a standard video/audio monitor, one of those little ones that is supposed to clip on to the baby's diaper, and now Owlet. The only one that I feel confident in is the Owlet. While I love our video monitor, I can't always tell if my daughter is actually breathing. I don't trust the AngelCare mat to actually know when she's breathing (I just don't see how it can be sensitive enough to her tiny movements when it's under the mattress!), and that diaper clip thing seemed as if it would fall off of her the minute she wiggled (and she's a big wiggler). The Owlet, on the other hand, stays put on her foot, the readings are instant and sensitive enough to give me confidence that what I'm seeing on the app is accurate, but it's not so sensitive that I get false alarms. I also like that it works through an app, so I don't have to carry another monitor around the house. The app itself has a beautiful UI (I am a digital designer by trade, so I appreciate these things). Its user experience is outstanding as well, meaning I find it easy and a joy to use. Set up was a breeze. The docking station is also cute; I find the overall quality of the design very good. While I didn't so much love the sticker price of this device, the peace of mind it gives me is fantastic. And I love that Owlet is working with medical organizations like the NIH to improve healthcare for all our babies.
Pros: Instant, Reliable, Sensitive

SIDS Mom Here Great Peace of Mind!!

I bought this yesterday, and I was nervous about doing so. The price tag may be a bit hefty but I think so far it's worth it. I had my first child 14 years ago and sadly he died of SIDS. I wish I had this product 14 years ago. No con's at all so far. Last night I got such great sleep with my son wearing the sock. I think any parents should buy this for the peace of mind :)

Saved my baby’s life

I registered for the Owlet smart sock and can even after multiple people/friends said I was being overprotective but after what we experienced, I recommend this product to each and every mom I meet. My baby had just started sleeping through the night at just over 2months old. It was after midnight when I awoke wondering if he would sleep through the night and I would need to pump or if he would wake and eat. I checked him in his bassinet and thought I would give him a little more time before I pumped then rolled over to sleep. Not 30 minutes later the RED alarm alerted on the owlet. I reached over again to check him fully expecting it to be a false alarm but he was not breathing. I ripped him from his bassinet, yelled his name and pulled his sleep sack off of him while rubbing his chest and shaking his body. His stats were in the 60’s for heart rate and in the 70’s for O2 saturation. Although he was extremely lethargic, I was able to get him to breath and watched his stats come up before we went to the hospital and were admitted for observation. When the doctors asked to see the graphs, they were all in agreement that my son did in fact have “an event” that required intervention. All were in agreement that although statistically this event should be a “one and done” because he has no underlying issues, we should keep the owlet on him at all times he sleeps. (Doctor recommended) I don’t like the think of where I would be without it but I am confident and eternally grateful that this technology saved my sons life.
