After we had another breathing minister that had many false alarms, it went off one night and was not a false alarm! Our son had stopped breathing and was limp! I will always be greatfull for the other minister but t just wasn't working well when he started moving because of the many false alarms we were losing sleep. After this event we learned of the owlet and even though it's a little pricey you cannot put a price tag on our sons safety! This product has allowed us to get uninterrupted sleep!! We have only had a couple false alarms when I was holding him so I knew right away. If I feel anxiety in the middle of the night I can pick up my phone and see his vital signs and instantly be reassured. The only thing I do not like is the sock falls off easily but we have fixed this problem by placing another sock over it so it is firmly in place.
Pros: I can sleep at night without constant worry, There are Rarely any false alarms
Cons: The sock does not stay on well

We use the Owlette mainly at night. Our child has silent reflux and it can hit at any given time. When attention is needed and we are asleep the owlette gives us a warning that our little one needs attention/assistance if reflux occurs.

Our amazing little boy was born three months premature. He came home from the NICU without the need for being on oxygen but we still wanted to monitor his O2 while he was sleeping. Having the ability to do this was important to us and the Owlet provided us this capability. The anxiety that comes with having a baby born so early doesn't go away when they leave the NICU, it increases when you have them home. The Owlet has given us the piece of mind that we needed and at a price that was reasonable. It has been easy to use and the instructions were very easy to follow. I would recommend the Owlet to any parent.
Pros: Accurate, tested with home health nurse pulse ox, Easy to use., Instructions were easy to understand., Technical support team was helpful.
Cons: Android app has glitch, requires hard restart., Support team responded slowly.

The sock that helped us sleep

Overall we are really happy with this monitor and it has helped us sleep knowing that if our daughter were to be choking the alarm would go crazy. We did experience a few false alarms and leaped out of bed like crazy but ended up just being a disconnection of the sock from the base station. I wonder if the monitor itself were connected to wifi along with the base station if the connection would be better instead of only relying on a Bluetooth connection between the sock and the base station.
Pros: Alarm is loud and crazy which is perfect, Monitors the oxygen level of your baby, Shows the information on your phone
Cons: If the baby moves too much the alarm can go off, Sock and base station disconnect sometimes, The alarm can go off if mom is feeding the baby

I don't know how people survived without this.. I have a now 6 month old and we've used this every night. She recently started stomach sleeping and loves to wedge herself in the corner of her crib with her face down. Surprisingly, still 100% oxygen level, however if I did not have the Owlet I would need to go in and disrupt her sleep by moving her, but now I KNOW she's okay, no questions about it. I do worry sometimes about when/how i'm going to stop using the monitor, I'm thinking when she's over 1. We didn't use it the first three nights we were home since her foot was too small (preemie), and then we went to the nicu for 4 days and having her heart rate constantly being monitored there made me start religiously using mine at home. I might also add that I love how quickly it charges, it takes mine only about 30 minutes to charge from empty to completely full which is great for the days I accidentally leave it not charging after her nap. I HIGHLY recommend this to any parent. It helps me sleep soundly at night and I truly don't know what I'd do without it.
Pros: Charges quickly, Is "up all night" so I can sleep soundly, Lasts all night, Works very well

Best Sleep I've gotten since having my baby

I love this product. My baby spits up a lot when laid flat so I've always been worried that he may choke. That resulted in me not sleeping and just staring at his video monitor for hours at a time. Once I bought the Owlet I was able to relax and know that my baby was safe. I really love that I can check his heart rate and oxygen levels on my phone.
Pros: You can check from your phone
Cons: If baby moves a lot the blue alarm goes off
