Great Idea

Great idea, already used for decades in hospital. Needs perfection though. Range from sock to base needs significant improvement. Android app is buggy. False alarms should be suppressed. Overall great idea, if can be perfected little further.

We've been using the owlet for about 7 months now. I was having a hard time sleeping at night when we brought our 2nd home from the hospital because I was so worried something would happen while I was sleeping. My anxiety got pretty bad, so we finally decided to buy Owlet. I'm so glad we did! I immediately started sleeping better, and even now that my baby is older, it is such a huge relief to look over and see the gently green pulse that means everything is okay. We have gotten a couple false red alarms in the time we've been using it, but I would honestly rather have a few false alarms than never know what was going on. I love Owlet and am so happy that I'll have it with my future babies as well.
Pros: Easy to set up, Gives peace of mind, Good Design
Cons: Occasional false alarms

i have been using the owlet for the last 6 weeks. It is easy to use and I like that I can turn it on and off from my phone. We travel and the owlet does still work without wifi but you will not be able to receive notifications on your phone without the wifi. We have had 1 alarm, I placed my son in the rock n play while I was doing the dishes and his head had slumped forward enough that he stopped breathing. All was well and I will not use the rock n play until he is older. The sock was kicked off a few times as well and we re-adjusted. I do like this monitor much better than the angel care baby monitor we used with our daughter, we had false alarms daily. I still wake up and check on my son frequently but I trust that the alarm would notify us if needed.
Pros: Easy to put on sock, The alarm is loud enough to wake you, Travels really well
Cons: I would like to be able to see the alarms, Only works on phone with wifi, Pricey / Poor Value

This sock gives me so much peace of mind and a great night sleep. My daughter has been a great sleeper from night 1 and to be able to have this monitor so I know she is still safely sleeping has allowed me to sleep great!

We are so glad we ordered the owlet. Our child was making soo many noises in the middle of the night by week 2 that we were not getting any sleep. We moved her into her room down the hall. We have been able to get sleep and we can check her oxygen levels and heart rate on our phones without having to walk all the way down the hall to ensure she's okay. This has left us a piece of mind while also ensuring that we get rest. I recommend this product to everyone.
