Our son was sent to the NICU with blood sugar balance issues the day he was born, and when we were let go a week later, they sent us with a hospital-grade monitor to watch his heart, which they believed to have some issues. The Owlet does the exact same thing, and is much easier for the baby to handle, as it is on his foot, rather than around his chest. We Love the Owlet and the peace of mind (and sleep!) it brings us on a nightly basis!

We got the sock because we knew so many parents can't really rest when the baby is on the crib fearing something bad might happen to him (choke, suffocation, SDS, etc). Since we got it we rest assure the baby is fine, which leads to better sleep that leads to rested/happier parents that leads to happier baby. We can't recommend it enough :)

The owlet has made sleep for my husband and I so much better. I've had no issues with the sock, false alarms, or putting my baby in pajamas. Being a nurse I've seen a lot and the money spent on this product is worth every cent. We will use this on all our children and I have recommended it to everyone I know.

Potentially saved my child's life

We woke up to a red alarm this morning. The blue and yellow alarm (base is disconnected or sock was kicked off) have a lullaby noise- this was the alert red alarm sound. Devin jumped out of bed so fast and picked Brantley up. He was NOT breathing and took a BIG breath of air in when Devin woke him/picked him up. We all apparently have allergies and every one of us was stopped up. Maybe he would have started breathing again on his own, but maybe he wouldn't have and we wouldn't have known as we were asleep too, and he was not choking or fussing or anything at all. So a true testament to the owlet is it potentially saved Brantley's life this morning and Devin and I will be forever grateful to this company and happy we decided to bite the bullet and get the owlet!

Falce alarm twice!

My husband ordered owlet few days after our son was born, loved the product until it twice had a false alarm! Super scary! The app is acting out, can't turn it on to monitor baby's heart beat and oxygen level. I hope they resolve the issue with false alarms and app!

Gave me peace of mind

My daughter was born prematurely at 32+4 weeks and very small for that gestation at 2.9lbs. She was otherwise healthy just small. I remember sitting in the rocking chair at the nursery holding my tiny infant daughter and my mom was there with me. I said I knew what I wanted her to give us as a gift (she had asked weeks prior what we might need and I didn't have an answer for her). I wanted the owlet monitor before she was discharged. We live in Canada and thankfully it arrived within a week. She was discharged from the hospital at just over 35 weeks and weighing just over 4 pounds. Her first night home around 8pm my daughter sneezed. She brought up thick mucus and started choking. She started changing colours and we had to call 911. After about a minute she managed to clear the blockage on her own. But that first night we could not be more relieved to have had the monitor on her foot. Although my husband and I never slept that night. We just stayed awake watching the heart rate and oxygen levels display on the iPad. She is now 4 months old and although we have never had another experience like her first night at home, the owlet gives this anxious mamma peace of mind. I can go shower and bring my phone in and know that if something isn't right an alarm will let me know. It has allowed this experience with a preemie to be a little easier and I am so thankful for this product. And the newborn sock fit perfectly fine on her little foot even at 4lbs.

I use this every night with my son! I absolutely love it. I was up every 1.5 hours just making sure that he was breathing. Being a new mom SIDS is such a scary thing and even tho this doesn't prevent it, it allows for early intervention to prevent the worst. I wish I got this as a shower gift! Now I tell all my mom friends to buy one.

Worth the money!

My son was born at 31 weeks and 5 days. He came home after 6wks in the NICU. Needless to say we got used to all of the monitors he was on, even though you're not supposed to. Although he slept well and didn't have issues, the peace of mind that we didn't realize we depended on was gone when there weren't any nurses to take care of him. We decided to buy the Owlet and couldn't be any happier. He is only going to be 3 months old in a week so we still check on him and worry about him, but having the Owlet gives us a little more rested sleep (if there is such a thing).
Pros: App on phone is great to check baby's breathing
Cons: Can't print out concerns for Dr.
