Saved my baby's life

I was just perusing the reviews, and it seems most of the bad ones pertain to the camera, not the sock.
I have the sock, and I have had zero problems with it. My baby has reflux, and I have to hold her up after feeding before putting her to sleep. Last night, I was holding her in the crook of my arm, and the alarm sounded. I panicked, looked at her, changed her position, and assessed her breathing. She was barely breathing. The app had sounded because her heart rate suddenly dropped below 60. I realized her head was sagging forward and had made it nearly impossible for her to breathe, and I didn't even notice. I am very attentive, and I snuggle her all the time, and I still can't believe I didn't notice. The sock alarm saved her life. I am eternally grateful because last night could have been the worst night of my life without it.
Must purchase for your baby! No ands, ifs, or buts. You hope you never need it, but if something happened and you could have known, you will never forgive yourself.

We took our daughter to her pediatrician and they told us she had a cold and that her oxygen level was at 95. We then took her home and they just told us to monitor her for a fever and breathing. We used the owlet to watch her oxygen levels and when we notice it drop we took her to the emergency room. We were right on time. She was admitted for RSV. If we didn’t have the owlet we would have possibly waited another day or couple days. We are so so thankful! When a baby is sick they obviously can’t tell you how they feel and thankfully this let us know there was a problem. Worth every single penny!

My daughter was born 7 weeks early in 2018, and spent 52 days in the NICU. Started using our Owlet as soon as she came home. At 18 months old, we are still using it, and thanks to the our Owlet, we were alerted to he low oxygen, and after 3 red warnings (first time ever have a red warning) we went to the emergency room in the middle of the night and found out she has RSV. She would have been so much sicker had it not been for the owlet.

I bought this sock when I was pregnant with my first child. At first it worked great. It provided peace of mind during the night. But when my maternity leave was almost over we transitioned my son to his own room to sleep in his crib. We could no longer keep the base in our bedroom because the connection would not reach. We live in a small one level home. I was very disappointed that the connection was that weak. For how expensive this product is I think it should have a larger range.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The tool I needed to keep PPA at bay. Thank you.

This past week has been one of the most terrifying that we’ve had as parents to date. I’m not sure I can love a product anymore than I do this one. The Owlet has paid for itself many times over in the 11 months of peace of mind that it has given my husband and myself knowing that our second son, Teddy, is safe and sound. I suffered from PPA with my first son, unable to sleep, terrified that the beast SIDS would somehow claim my perfect baby.
That fear alone was enough for us to justify getting the Owlet monitor for our next child. And we’ve had 11 months of zero false alarms, and I’ve been able to sleep between feedings knowing this digital guardian is there to help me as I restore myself with sleep, knowing that my baby is being watched.
And then he got flu A last week. And as I laid him down to sleep on the third night I checked the app and noticed his oxygen levels were much lower than usual. And as I watched, I saw them dip to 90% and didn’t recover. I raced into the room to see a slightly grey baby that needed to be suctioned with the nose frida, even though he hadn’t shown any signs of congestion to this point. His oxygen levels returned to 95%+ and I watched them for the next few hours as I packed a bag, just in case we needed to go to the emergency room immediately. I’m so grateful that this was our worst night and that I was able to help him before it became any worse. He has since recovered, after 7 days, and I’m so grateful that he is still well and with us without complications. I glance at the app and see a normal heart rate and oxygen level and I want to sob with relief. I see he is safe. I can sleep.

The One Necessity for Parents

As a family who takes foster kiddos, this device is invaluable. We have received many drug exposed newborns and babies who are experiencing terrifying withdrawals that many times result in my watching over their breathing and overall wellbeing especially through the night hours. When we received our latest placement of a newborn baby exposed to meth and opiates, a friend of mine brought me an Owlet. LIFE CHANGING! The Owlet tracks our new baby’s heart rate, oxygen saturation and sleep. I’m able to pull up the app at his weekly pediatrician visits and they are able to review how our baby is medically as far as heart rate and breathing. Our pediatrician LOVES this! Also, as a registered nurse who has worked with medical technology similar to the Owlet, I rest assured of our baby’s safety at night because I know that the way this device is designed is medically correct. We have had no false alarms. The tone it plays for low battery for the sock is a pleasant tone and not at all startling. The app is extremely user friendly. The sock is super easy to apply. And I’m a happy mama who is able to get a much more restful night’s sleep without having to hover over baby. This will be a device we use forever with every baby we get. If you are pregnant or know someone pregnant or with a baby, let this be the ONE gift they know is a necessity. Having peace of mind of your baby’s safety is the most precious gift to give a mama.

My 5 month old got croup. She had been sick for a few days, but was acting totally normal for the most part and her oxygen levels were in normal range. On Friday morning I put her down for a nap and I got a red notification saying that her oxygen levels had dipped below 80. I went in to check on her and she seemed totally fine and thought maybe it was a false alarm. I got 3 more notifications within 10 minutes so I decided to take her into the doctor. We were there for 5 minutes and the Doctor immediately sent us over to the hospital because her oxygen was staying at 78. If I didn't have the Owlet, I would never have known that she was having a hard time breathing. I highly recommend this product for all parents. I will always have my babies wear this, especially when they're sick!

Best investment for my baby!!

First time parent here & Registered Nurse. This monitor watches your baby’s oxygen & heart rate while they sleep. That is why this deserves 5 stars! Our baby was small (premie size) and we had no problem fitting the monitor on baby’s foot! We just had to use a smaller sock for a little longer since our baby was a bit behind in his growth. And no problems with the sock fit if a regular sock or footed pajamas went over it. The monitor is preset with ranges so literally all you need to do is follow the simple instructions to download app & turn on. The app sends notifications to your phone or device and the sensor base also lights up different colors & alarms as well. Definitely much piece of mind at night when baby sleeps in his own room! Recently our baby’s oxygen levels dropped a bit low & we were alerted right away. Baby likes to sleep on his stomach & sometimes faces down. We checked on him & repositioned him and he’s perfectly fine but we did contact or Pediatrician for follow up. This monitor is worth the investment!
