My wife and I bought this because our daughter loved to sleep on her tummy. Yes I know they say these days don't let them do that but I slept on my stomach as a child as did my parents and my sisters and we are all here and fine. So my wife and I did decide if we were going to let her sleep on her stomach like she liked we would at least get something to help us monitor our daughter. It has worked amazing and helped us sleep well while helping our daughter sleep 6 to 8 hours straight now. There are a few to many false alarms but better safe than sorry so not a deal breaker by any means. Love it and would recommend to anyone

My son is a shallow breather and always scared me, at night I would wake up several times just to check his respirations. Now I can get some rest and peace of mind knowing that if something changes with my little guy's breathing or heart rate owlet will alert me asap. Only cons if power goes out it doesn't work, but that isn't often so the hefty price tag is well worth keeping your baby safe and giving you the ability to get rest at night.

Pros: Like the vitals it monitors, Peace of mind., Sock holds good charge
Cons: App has to refresh each time opened (small issue, Blue and yellow alarm goes off a lot, Ease of turning sock off, sock design, Not very much range before alarm goes off, Pricey / Poor Value, sock falls off a lot, even when on tight

I just want to say we LOVE our owlet! This is my third baby and first one with the owlet. I bought it for the peace of mind every night. A week ago I took my 5 month old to the doctor thinking she had croup. Turns out she had bronchiolitis and RSV. The doctor told us to bring her back in if she got worse. She was smiling and fairly normal, not 100% but nothing to bad. We went to bed and her monitor kept going off all night for low oxygen levels. The next morning she was smiling and still didn't act 100% but not much change from the day before. I decided to take her in, just because her monitor had gone off so much and it normally never does. Turns out her owlet was dead on and we got admitted to the hospital. A few days in the hospital on oxygen and and IV and we were released to go home. I'm so grateful for our owlet and I tell everyone how amazing it is! Thank you!!!!

Saved my son

We cannot explain the vital role that the owlet has played in our son's life. He was in the NICU for a couple of days after birth and we decided we needed to order the owlet for some piece of mind when we got to go home. He was off of oxygen for 2 days in the hospital before we bought him home and when we got the owlet me noticed that he had significant drops in the saturation. As new parents this terrified us so when we called our pediatrician she ordered a medical grade at home monitor which provided the same results as the owlet. Our son was put on oxygen then and we are able to monitor him sufficiently with the owlet without the need of the medical supply monitor. If we wouldn't have purchased the owlet we wouldn't have known that our son's oxygenation was so poor as he had no symptoms of being deficient. I would recommend this monitor to every parent.
Pros: accurate readings, easy to monitor
Cons: not very large range from base
