Great to have for first time parents! We already have recommended it to our friends that were hesitant to have their baby sleep separately from them. Wish we got it sooner, would have prevented those nights where you sneak into their room or bassinet and watch for any movement, just to be sure! The negative is the base station needs to be super close to the sock... We live in a small house and our rooms are down a small hallway, but the owl base doesn't reach our room. The instructions say it reaches up to 20 feet, but ours is only good for about 10ft. Wouldn't work really well if you were on different floors or farther away! The app is nice, but cannot always rely on that..

I love this product! I sleep so well knowing my little one is safe through constant monitoring. It's super easy to use. The only improvement I recommend pertains to the app; it often makes me sign back in and sometimes takes a while to show readings. But in terms of the devices reliability, my dollars were well spent.

This would probably be number one on my list as far as new mom must haves, it gives such peace of mind when you have a newborn. I was constantly checking my baby every few minutes to make sure she was still breathing and this takes away that anxiety.

I use it at night. My daughter was a preemie and spent a month in the NICU. When she came home I was a nervous wreck. My sister bought me the owlet, I wasn't 100% sure about it bc i thought it would have been like the monitors in the nicu hah constantly beep. It's amazing, there's two different sounds, one is if something wrong with the sock or if connection is bad or anything along those lines. The other is if something is serious wrong with the baby. I'm glad it has two different sounds this way I'm not freaking out thinking my daughter stop breathing when really the sock was loose.
Pros: Can sleep at night without worrying

There's no price that can be assigned to peace of mind. And the deeper sleep I get from having this peace of mind has been so critical as a mom of a newborn. I'm obsessed with this product and think it's a definite must have for every parent of a newborn.
